Suggestion to eliminate the bottish looking movement

So right now, when the bot moves around it uses right click to move, it will right click where it wants to move then waits until the characters gets all the way to this point before clicking on another spot. This leads to an extremely bottish looking movement of stop and go stop and go.

Why not instead when it gets within 1 yard of it's targeted move spot, go ahead and right click on the next movement spot. That way the bot never actually pauses while moving.

IMO it would be a great change and make the bots look very much less bottish.

Also the ability to modify the new meshes would be awesome, especially for the battlegrounds. I've noticed over the weekend it will get hung up on particular spots every time, and I can see other people who are botting get hung on the same spot. The ability to blacklist these spots and force the bot to choose an alternate route so that it doesn't hang would be awesome.

Speaking of alternate routes, that would be another suggestion, make it possible to have more than one route instead of just running around in circles on the same route. It's very humorous when you can tell who 3 other bots are because they are running the exact same route as you, pause for pause!

ive only seen it wait untill it arrived at the ctm spot when you have a really slow pc. i think ctm works fine.

Lol, it's not the case of a slow PC, I'm running a quad core overclocked to 4ghz (8 threads) with 12gb of ram and a nvidia fermi 570. Trust me it's not happening due to a slow pc :)

Edit: Just for information, my fps while this is happening is usually around 115 to 120.

I only have the jagged movement when my latency is high'ish. Normally it moves very smooth.

Agree on the BG. I stopped using it, didn't have stomach to leave it alone in wsg and ab. It would need my assist quite often :) Can't wait to try out av thou.

ACHOO! Sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit.

Also; the issue is with the navigations precision. The issue you're having is because the precision is set to 1yd. The high precision is required for some quest-based movement. But can be safely lowered to 2-2.5 for everything else.

Lol... the issue with movement aside... you shouldn't call bs on something you have no clue about. The specs I gave on my pc are true, I'm a geek, having more power than I need in my pc comes with the territory.

As for the latency, my latency right now while I watch this happen is 160ms, I don't think that is high enough to cause problems but if it is then so be it.

As for the precision, is there somewhere I can change the precision setting? I didn't see any settings for it in the XML files.

Silly disbelievers

In case you don't know how to read the programs I used, I circled the important parts in yellow.

Silly disbelievers

So assuming you're running liquid cooling, or submerged oil (or some form of stupid air cooling setup, most likely with 8+ 120mm fans, and a stupidly large heat-piped CPU cooler), the voltage still seems stupidly low for a 4ghz overclock. Even on an i7, clocking more than 3.5ghz takes almost 1.8v just to keep it from blue screening in Win XP, let alone W7.

I'd like to know what your RAM clocks are, and their voltages as well.

Just because you can try to talk down someone who called you on your shit, doesn't mean you should. You'll quickly find yourself in a swamp of shit.

Anyhow, back on topic.

In your CC (or any plugin that you may be using) find the Pulse() method (in the case of CCs, the constructor will usually work as well [google it if you don't know what a constructor is]) add the following line;

Code:
Styx.Logic.Pathing.Navigator.PathPrecision = 2f;

Set the 2f to whatever precision you want. (2-2.5 is what I'd recommend. 1-1.5 is a bit too precise, even for high-end PCs, since HB only 'pulses' at most 20 times per second, and your toon runs at 7yds/sec.)

I'm running air atm, might be switching to liquid cooling soon. Running a Prolimatech Megahalem with a Silverstone FM123 120mm fan pushing air through it (I tried the push / pull method people talk about being so great, but didn't see but maybe a degree or two difference so dropped the extra noise of the second fan). My case is a Lian Li PC-A10B (All aluminum case with psu and hdds seperated in the bottom for better cooling circulation). I run one 120mm fan in the bottom on the HDDs (to add to the ridiculousness of my pc I'm running 5 2TB drives), one 120mm in the front top pulling air in, and one exhaust 120mm fan in the rear.

So yes you are correct a stupidly large heat piped cpu cooler :).. the prolimatech is awesome though, it can cool non overclocked cpus without a fan it's so great.

As for memory I'm running OCZ DDR3 1600, I have it clocked to 1298mhz (2:8 ratio), the timings are a little slower than I like, but it's DDR3 so to be expected. 8,8,8,20 The voltage is 1.66v on the memory.

As for the core voltage, that's actually a little high for my chip. I can run at 1.375 but at that voltage I do get a blue screen after about 24 to 30 hours of Prime95 torture tests. Bumping it to where it is now I've ran prime95 for 72 hours without a blue screen. 24 to 30 hours is fine for average use, but I leave my pc running 24 / 7 and even though it's rarely goes over 20% cpu usage even while gaming, I wanted to make sure I had the stability there.

Even with the awesome prolimatech megahalem my temps are higher than I like which is why I may be switching to liquid soon. My idle temps are around 40c, and with prime95 running torture tests they top between 75 to 80c. These newer i7s are rated for 100c temps but I still don't like it lol.

Oh and since I'm sure the question of power will arise, yes I'm running a CoolerMaster 1250W PSU to push it all.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I got 2 Comp I7 here and its no problem to overclock them to 4ghz with air cooling and "low vCore"

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Push/pull method only really works with more than 2 exhaust fans and +/- 1 intake. (One to pull, and 2 to push ratio works best, or at least that's what I've found)

Not gonna bother posting the specs of my monster rig. Someone may get offended. ;)

Try RAF when leader stops every second to wait for follower or when leader completely ignores when your party member gets attacked and just waits for him to catch up. To say it is botish is an understatement;)

oh hai sir botting a whole raid at the same time

pls post

Only thing I thought was wrong with the "Tech porn" was writing gtx 570 rather than 470

The default is 1.6 from memory

Christ the false modesty and verbal jousting in this thread far exceeds acceptable standards. Should make a tech sub forum to go and fap in tbh.

If it was anyone but Apoc I would've locked it already. But he makes me laugh.
