Current state of botting!

There is very likely a server side game limit in place, e.g If you exceed a certain amount of game/hour, you get flagged for review. Those looking to avoid the hammer should avoid short profiles (sak/zk etc). Last time the game limit was in place for a day or so, the limit looked to be 1 game/5 minute, so that allows for 12 games per hour.

All speculation on my part though, feel free not to take my word for it ;)

Let's be frank here, the amount we pay for the bot is very little.

What you are expecting it to do, is for it to run flawlessly against the detection services of one of the biggest gaming companies in history, all for that small amount of cash? Give them some time and cut them some slack, maybe they'll come out with a full automated version soon.

While we wait for that, it's NOT that hard to just program some basic profiles by hand, seeing how the tough part of the program has already been done by the DB staff and other random contributors.

You fucking serious? i can buy WHOLE games that took years to make for the amount i payed for this bot.... Dont be rediculous

I am going to have to stop you right there... I do this with no malice towards you or the buddy team. I purchased the 3 session - lifetime key for DB as soon as it came out --- was terribly disappointed with the development time-period and the continued lack of work done on it.. but I promised not to charge-back and I will keep that promise...
But let's be FRANK in another way...
If this were to be looked at in any other market or business model ... I don't go out and buy fast food so i can take it home and prepare it... I pay those people to save me time and make me fat.
I purchased a BOT because I have no clue what i'm doing with coding and I refuse to go and code my own personal profile when I just paid a company for a program that is supposed to offer that for me.
So lets again be FRANK and say that we paid a decent enough amount to NOT code the bot ourselves...
This is of course my personal opinion and I take no stance for anyone else. I haven't used any of my 3 DB keys in over a month now i believe... It just isn't worth the time trying to find something that works and get it going.
The only reason i'm not completely flipping my lid against the buddy team is because I recently returned to WoW and purchased a lifetime honorbuddy bot for my wife and myself and we absolutely LOOOVE the work done there... the community is quite different as well... of course the bot has had more time to develop and people aren't AS worried about making a profit it seems... tons of sharing of profiles and perfecting by the community.
This community seems to be filled with greedy "profile devs" that really just take public profiles and tweak them and try and get people to donate.

When the devs get it together for DB i'll be back
but for now their work on Honorbuddy has definitely exceeded my expectations - so they can have my DB money.

EDIT: may I also say that I was SOOO impressed with honorbuddy that while i was using it in the las vegas airport i demo'd it for a guy sitting next to me and took him to the website where he purchased the bot right in front of me.

so that being said - i have COMPLETE faith in the buddy team --- i think we have to rely more on the community than i care to do as they can fluctuate too easily.
But as soon as the buddy team gets DB to the point where it impresses me like honorbuddy - i'll go and sell it door to door if it impresses me --

so again -- no malice towards the buddy team - i have full faith in the future of the bot ---- i just wish that future would become reality more quickly.

I'm sorry to say but in the current state DB does nothing more than autoit really does. That's not to say that the plug ins that USERS have developed are not awesome and far exceed autoit BUT the bot itself is nothing to brag about right now. I'll continue to use but I also must agree that things sure are slow. Something as simple as a random profile changer or a bot schedule to start and stop at different times should have LONG been implemented for the bot.

Telling people to write their own scripts is asinine. If this was a free open source program than yea, I could see doing that. However, fact of the matter is, we pay good money and expect a good product. Botting right now is going down the drain for DB because we've only had the same profiles for weeks which are now compromised. I don't care who you are or what you're doing. Running the same thing as another thousand people whether it be for 1 hour or 22 hours is going to get you banned at some point.

I just wish the bot would use health potions on the generic combat.

I'm aware the bot is not perfect, and I don't know the reasons for the delay of it being fully automated. I'm not going to defend the buddy team on that point other than to hope that they are putting safety rather than progress as priority given that D3 is a relatively new game.

There are also a lot of back-end stuff which probably requires a decent proficiency in programming (maybe even more when they have to out smart the people @ Blizzard), like escaping warden detection and hooking the program and triggers correctly. My point is, I couldn't have done what the buddy team in terms of setting up the base program for that cost I paid for it, not by a farshot and I'm grateful for it. Just give them sometime to settle stuff out.

This +2.
Ive always stated DB should include the MANY profiles/plugins that have been a requirement from the community.
This, to me, is a void in what DB should have to make the whole advertised bot.
From my understanding; once DB team have figured out how to make this 'warden proof' (hooks etc); the work is pretty much done (for being 'undetected', anyway) - This was done upon release. This is not something that every optimistic argument should be attributed to (considering MANY people have gotten bans using the warden-free DB).
It is seeming now that the *safest way to bot* is done by not doing the same routines/profile over and over again on an IP that hasnt been flagged/banned before.
The non-banned ip, at this point, can only be achieved by not doing the same 20sec profile, time after time (the best speculation that's out there).
In my belief, this ALL could be achieved by official supported plugins, server-side detection characteristics; and most importantly - a multitude of profiles.

I DO give my thanks to the DB team, as they have a good bot program; and usually inform the public on whats going on. This is rare for a company NOT to keep their customers in the dark.

In the top banner of DB forums it states "Please use profiles wisely... Bossland". If this is true, then the known *official* profiles are not recommended. <-Is this really something the community is required to achieve to accomplish the 'safe(est) bot' name?

Well my experience so far is I can't get anything to run smoothly, from core arreat runs where something always goes wrong, not repairing, or just pausing or for some reason my guys just standing still, my guy not picking up the gold properly just running through, to the ARELOG program not recognising a crash and not logging me back in

Over 150 mil gold gathered and 5 toons leveled to 60 so far AFK with this bot. Looking forward to long profiles of 10 mins+ now.

Personally, Ive had success with correct settings, and following the EXACT rules/recommendations for pausing/repairing problems of that specific profile creator. You have to read(quite a bit) and set all your 'values' correctly depending on the profile. You have to read and research quite extensively - there really isnt 'plug and play', sadly.

ARELOG has always worked like crap for me, even considering me being a DB forum whore and reading everything. Since the official program didn't work as intended, 'DBRelog' (originally found under 'Plugins' sub-forum) suited my needs. It not ONLY provided Re-logging, but also profile changing with personal timed preferences.

Honestly, i am not sure if you can find this (plugin) anymore... (IMHO) the best DB COMMUNITY mod designer that created this plugin (as well as the MOST used & MOST successful profile maker) quit DB due to ~'him putting more effort into DB then the developers'.

If you cannot find DRelog, best bet is to find something else like it - there are other good community 'devs' out there that have good plugins.

* Personally, if the best community dev quit DB; i believe that is a bold statement to DB.

-IF DB requires community 'devs' to fill the void, and the very best devs protest/quit;... That means the DB devs will have to 'fill in the gaps'. There has not been official intention; which is worrisome, imho.

Leveled 6 chars on HC to 60 so far.

Get ur head out of ur ass tbh.

I think its funny, how little work people want to put into their bots. honestly and this is only personal..i have fun writing profiles for the bot, and i feel a lot safer doing so. I work 2 jobs(60 hours a week), and somehow i still find the time to write profiles and bot and profit(only 180$ ) off of diablo. you guys can too:D

Leveled another toon with DB. Manually till 15 then full bot, id say its fucking fast!
