Question - Are there any plans to improve this bot in order to effectively counter Blizzards current detection methods? Accounts that are being banned right now are not accounts that were "flagged" 1 month ago. Blizzard has clearly found the appropriate data to collect and analyze in order to shoot out their bans and are probably laughing at how easy it is to catch bot users at this point.

Botting 24/7 or 10 hours a day makes no difference. Changing hardware ID, Mac address or other type of "methods" don't seem to be effective and are probably too complicated for the average user to want to bother with which will push away many potential customers(It's a turn off). I am not saying your bot sucks, I think it's great but if nothing is changed to help the current situation then I don't see a future for botting considering the current circumstances. Getting banned is bound to happen and is completely normal. However, the problem is that no one wants to invest into more accounts if they wont' even have enough time to recover their initial investment before being banned again.

Spend 400 dollars on accounts, profit 900, banned, win.

Spend 400 dollars on accounts, get to level 48 on your characters, banned. fail - and that is where were at. No one is going to want to keep going at this point.

You may have thousands of active users still botting but if we keep dropping like flies then eventually that number is going to deplete more and more. I have no idea what Blizzard is doing to detect us, but clearly they know whats up for the time being. DB has a ton of potential based on how it functions and the flexibility it may have in future updates and I am not here to bash the devs or act like they aren't doing their job (I know you work hard on your software and like many other users I am very happy/satisfied customer). Basically I am curious to know if you see the mass amount of recent bans as a problem?

Something needs to change so we can shit on Blizzard like we were doing 3 weeks ago.
 
we're always working to ensure our users have a safe botting experience, that being said no one knows for sure what blizzard is doing and since no one has a 100% answer its hard to come up with an effective method to counter it. using a bazooka to take out a fly is not a effective strategy, and seldom works.

They had to do something, the court case is proof that they couldnt detect the bot so they (taking a slight loss in $$ from RMAH) decided to just ban everyone that was flagged as too efficient.

All D3 bans using Demonbuddy are user issues. Don't be greedy, switch your profiles often

So hundreds of users are user issues ? that's a complete cop out. DB is profile driven with a very unfriendly profile design system the average user cannot make his own profiles so they're limited to using what others make. DB itself is flawed. It will always be bottish because profiles are static and never random.

Yea I am sure that helps but probably serves as more of a fail proof to their initial findings on accounts. Many people have been banned while leveling characters on brand new accounts which implies there is specific data being gathered related to the automation of the bot itself. Demon buddy doesn't need to be detected if they can detect certain functions of it based on in game patterns. A lot of people think that it's a "tin foil" thing to think Blizzard gathers such detailed data but it's really not. Profiles are probably easy to see if thousands of people are using the same ones, doing the exact same thing etc.

Actually yes they can make their own

I have all of the code already in the dev copy... it took me less than 2 days to script all of the quests

copy / paste
add moveto/waittimers, end cut scene, town portal's as needed

I have seen very few 'help, i need to know how to make a profile' threads... but instead threads like these: Help, all the free profiles on this forum suck! I need someone to hand feed me and gief a 100% working version... no, not paying a penny for it

...

The few threads that have asked for help in regards to them willing to help out the community - I respond if I see it. At everyone else who complains - I tell them to copy my code, give credit, and add the appropriate syntax so the profile works better.

What part about the average user didn't you read ? Do you honestly believe you represent the avg DB user ? While I am very capable of making my own profiles the avg user is not.

I was an average user before I spent an hour and started making grinding profiles for HB back in 2008, your assumption is irrational. People can easily copy / paste if they spend a few minutes and actually *try*.

Edit: i will add to this post. To the average users the DB product is still very wet behind the ears. HB took what at least 6 months to get some good logic worked out for efficent questing? PVP took longer than that. Questing profiles didn;t ever come with HB until recently/ and the really over used farming profiles didn;t come with Hb until PB got big. So To the average user this isn;t your average bot. You are only going to get out of it what you put into time wise. If you don;t care to look into modifying profiles to change them up for yourself well don;t bitch. I am sure I got banned from DB do to not switching thing up and trying to differentate myself from the mass crowd( people who use the popular profiles/plugins) but that is because I was having tons of stability issues and was trying to iron them out before I could move onto adapting and changing profiles on a stable platform to run them on.

I was not staff back then, what i'm saying is that there weren't very good profiles... I looked into it for an hour and bam... I made a bunch of working grinding profiles in a couple of days and tested them for a few days before donating them to the community.

grinding and farming is all we could really do back until what 2011? than you and a few other profile makers took off with questing logic :D

Do you really believe the avg gamer or DB user is capable of grasping it as fast as you or me ? Not to sound arrogant, but not everyone is as capable as the next person.
