This is mainly for amusement purposes but, hey, you never know.
Okay, here's one for you...
We're all (accounts), or most of us, on a list of potential botters. Every so often Bliz puts this list through a lottary, in order to pick out the lucky/unlucky winners who will be the next to be banned.
This lottery provides just enough accounts to make it look to the other players (non botters) that Bliz is trying to do something to combat botting, and not so many that it stops most of the banned from coming back and buying more games.
It looks like anybody is fair game for this lottery; casual player, hardcore botter, Mr 24/7, Miss a few hours here and a couple of hours there, Little Jack selling gold directly to Mr Wong, and even the Bliz cash cow Curly Sue, who happily plays the GAH/RMAH, rapidly filling up the Blizzard coffers.
How do you qualify for the lottery?
Who knows? It might just require extensive play that goes beyond that of a normal person.
