Is it clever to bot 24/7? Atm I bot 12-16 hours a day and make about 8-15? a day.
Is the ban chance much higher if I bot 24/7?

The problem is that the gold price is droping like a mofo. Imo best way is to bot 24/7 and sell all as much as you can while you can. If 1kk will worth 0.10usd someday it will suck.
