[Plugin] Giles Stash & Loot Rule Replacer

I have one request for you:) IF you can do it. you sir are legendary... there is a debuff icon next to mana/fury orb when you are standing on desecration... a plugin that checks for it and force moves to the side so that you dont die from standing in it...

BTW i did find a bug, dunno why it happened but anyhow, it wasnt picking up 1000 gold stacks, i thought it was your ignore loot plugin so i enabled, and disabled, but no, i had to load the item rules again "the bot was running" eaven tho it already was loaded. fyi
This plugin doesn't touch gold pickup, (the ignore loot plugin which is nothing to do with this one does, but should work fine! Though I may update it now I've learned a bit more about DB item handling to optimise it :P).... and the loot rules for this already have gold included - probably just a random DB barf!

I set my minimum lvl pickup to 61, since i do sell alot of inferno mats ;)
Think a lot of people may want to do the same, so I might add two loot rules as attachments, or even three - one for 61+ rares, one for 62+, one for 63+... although as you know it's very, very simple to edit yourself, even in notepad and even if you've never seen an XML file before :D

I like to think of myself as the loot expert (how very arrogant of me, teehee!) rather than anything else - I don't know anything about combat code in DemonBuddy! I might have a play around in that area of DB sometime though, as I'd like DB to be able to better handle champion inferno mobs! :D

If you need a smiley with a party hat for motivation by god i shall make you one!

I tested it a bit before the downtime. I ran one of the checks on all the things in my bag and it seemed to do ok there.
Then I opened the settings for the loot thresholds.
At that point though, it stopped the bot. Then shortly after it crashed the bot and I had to kill the process via task manager.
I ran it again after that and it seemed to be working fine, but then the servers went down.

Here is a different question though for added functionality that would be super awesome!

Would it be possible to have your app produce a list of items that are in a given page of the stash and then check the auction house for similar items and tell you essentially how much you should probably put the items in the given stash page up for auction at?

Similar in concept to a reverse shopping list. =) I've always found it annoying to have to sort through 30 pages of auction house to find things similar to mine and then check around it to make sure things don't specifically out-class it.

An alternative which would be easyish... Is if you could just have the list of items and print out their "gear score" so that we could translate gear score into AH pricing amounts? (Upon reflection the AH pricing amounts aren't linear... So this wouldn't really work unless you could take a lot of points and figure out the equation of the line. Which would probably be exponential (and possibly nonlinear). ) So the previous method would probably be much much easier to implement than this. I'm not sure if it would get the DB program flagged by Blizz though.

As long as it was only doing lookups at a reasonable pace (1 per 5 seconds?), it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Use the lootrules download on the first post. While other loot rules will work for pickup, sell and salvage, KEEP rules are WORTHLESS with this plugin, because the whole point of the plugin is to replace loot-rules with a smooth formula. I strongly recommend using the loot-rules I've provided as they are designed for this plugin and designed to bypass most (all?) DemonBuddy item-bugs. You can edit them slightly if you want to remove certain gem-types from being picked up for instance.

The plugin takes into consideration all item stats possible. The only stat missing which is valuable but not calculated is "total block chance %" on a shield, which I hope to add in later. Every other stat possible on an item is considered, with their own scores & weightings (some more valuable than others).

What about follower items like templar relics is there a rule for those?

No, sorry, I can easily do this though I think, maybe I'll go check out follower items on the AH and see what sort of things are worth what. You can't get gold-find/magic find on them, so I guess just really high vitality and <follower prime stat>? Are there other things that make the follower relics very valuable? I'll need a rough idea to get me started on mapping values out for them!

It might screw up opening the config window while the bot is currently running - I'd always recommend clicking "Stop", making changes, then clicking "Start"! If I find any obvious bugs that can be fixed to make it smooth editing the config while it's running I will, but in the meantime I guess just be careful! :D

I really think that's beyond the scope (and purpose!) of this plugin - the ACTUAL prices are just SO variable, day-in-day out they change, not to mention the EU and US auction houses have very different values/pricings, and then there's all the many currencies each with their own RMAH - and as you say the scoring is linear, whereas actual values on the AH go up exponentially (and not in any easily calculable way I doubt). Really, you're always going to be better off actually pricing things up yourself - from combined experience and Ah searching on the day ;)

Well, when you've finished botting and are ready to go on the AH, you could always just fill your backpack with all the valuables, and do a "Test Backpack Items" from the config window, which will output scores (and which you can then load up by loading the logfile in DemonBuddy's log folder, and scrolling to the end). However, perhaps an option to send to/create a whole new text-file, in my plugin folder, that does nothing BUT log items found (and kept) - eg their name, their item type, the time you found it, and the item score it was given. Perhaps the name of the file could be something like "StashLog_<your character name>.log" so each character/bot you run has it's own log. Do you think this would be a useful feature? If so I will work on that soon and probably have something like that ready by the end of the weekend (I'm in the process of moving house atm so busy few days/weekend for me IRL!) :)

High mainstat, vitality and all resist, but it's not necessary
Templar Relic: Strength, Chance to block
Scoundrel Token: Dexterity, Critical hit damage
Enchantress Focus: Intelligence, Critical hit damage

And the max level req for the follower specials is 59 with 60 ilvl

Is there diminishing returns with the loot plugin? i.e. a neck with
100 str, 100 dex, 100 int, 100 vit, might seem pretty good when evaluated, but in reality it's not.

When there's three "prime stats" (dex, int, str all together), it'll only score the highest-valued one of the three - so having 100 str, 100 int and 100 dex on an item that can have 200-300 of each of them won't be worth much alone. (though with lots of other good bonuses could be, of course, which is the point of the plugin!). But it won't simply go "Oh, 100 str, that's worth X points! Oh, and 100 int, that's worth another X points! And another X points for 100 Dex, WOWSERS EPIC ITEM" :D (that's how the bot works btw, it talks to itself like that. It even says WOWSERS to itself when it thinks it's found a good item. Bless it's little electrons.)

You're amazing man. Thanks a ton for the work you do. I'm looking forward to the loot rules that pickup ilvl 61+ items. I also use and sell inferno crafting mats. No rush, and thanks again!

Naw thats ok Giles! Focus on getting moved and stuff! Exciting times! Good luck with everything I don't want to be a bother or anything. I was mostly just looking for a quick way to figure out the value of each item.

Recently blizz changed the sorting for the minimum buyout for things though which puts the lowest buyout before all the ones without a buyout... Which is super nice in my opinion. It has sped up the process by about 3x lol.

Thank you for a wonderful plugin! I ran it for awhile today and it stashed 4-5 things. Each one appears to be able to sell for ~50-200k with only one out of the group being below that! So in my opinion it seems to be working as intended! Love it ^_^

Tested it for an hour now and so far so good i couldnt tell any bug yet :) Great work Giles. Will post further results later! rep like earned again

I really hope AGB will integrate this into his plugin, Giles would you give him permission to do this if he chose?

hey what line would i have to put in the Pick up rules to make it pick up: ilvl62 armor rare+ and ilvl 63 weapon rare +, i dont want to pick up ilvl 62 weapons in the plugin loot rules.

i tried these two lines and it seems to ignore Hand crossbows and mightyweapons.

<ItemRule itemBaseType="Armor">
<StatRules>
<Rule stat="Level" minValue="62" quality="Rare4"/>
</StatRules>
</ItemRule>

<ItemRule itemBaseType="Weapon">
<StatRules>
<Rule stat="Level" minValue="63" quality="Rare4"/>
</StatRules>
</ItemRule>

could you make your plugin override abg's town sell, or possible contact the guy who made abg and see if he can make it compatible?
