Banned - Summary of relevant posts

I was looking through the other thread and honestly there's too many comments and too much discussion there to make out any useful info. So basically making this thread copy pasting quotes from any post that has actual cold hard facts.

i got banned on 5 accounts

24/7 since 5 days with 2 pcs and isboxer

One PC

I only used demonbuddy (newest version) with unstucker and Inregos Sarkoth profile.
24/7 was just to much..

I am now totalling 11 banned accounts from demonbuddy usage only.

Region: EU

Previous banned set: 2 barb + 4 DH (sarkoth 24/7)
Banned set now: 5 DH (sarkoth 24/7)

4 DH:s, DB .151 and 0.3 AGB, updated to .160 and 0.4.5 AGB last night (no other profiles / plugins)
1 DH levelled 1-15 hand ZK, 15-50 ZK script, 50-60 Queen (used only unstucker newest) after that only AGB (0.3 and 0.4.5)

(Last time I levelled new DH with these scripts I also got banned day after, unlikely related to anything but fact.)

Only used RMAH, no 3rd party sales.

Main safe

More like 18/7 If you're using AGB the random crashes make it so you're never on 24/7

Got banned on 4/5 of my accounts. Pretty much ran nonstop for 1-2 weeks (nonstop as far as early demonbuddy allowed)

1 bot didnt get banned for some reason. Was running 3 bots at the time of the ban, and 1 account not online got hit as well.

Main is completely fine :>

i posted a serious bug that i had even with a youtube recordinf for him to see in his thread that looks like my character is spamming a ability 1000 times and jittering across the room.. but he never fix so i think thats what caused my bane... before this i was using ferox script and unstucker plugin etc

Nah never posted PICs of mine someone else did.

I use 4 VMs on one PC it increases the CPU load, but do what you feel is safer.

Just got banned using AGB. Ran few hours a day. 1 account.

8 accs on same ip only 5 banned?
i think ip isn?t the problem.
either it is because of botting on wednesday right after the patch or because of the plugins/profile/lootrule.
because i botted since wednesday evening 24/7 till now with 8 accs and no one got banned.

Did the rest of you guys who got banned farm sarkoth only? I had 5 accounts, 4 of them farming the little cellar bugger. The only bot that didnt get banned was the one i had running NM Core of arreat

a friend of mine with 7 bots runing 24/7 since wednesday right after patch all acc banned

so i think it is either that he used the bot wednesday right after the patch or one of his plugins or his lootrule.

Anyhow, commonalities seem to be:
Botting right after wednesday patch.
Doing Sarkoth
Using v1.60
Multiple accounts same IP / HW but not all getting banned.
All bans on EU servers this far.

Though none of those have been confirmed by all posters.

Ive done all these, and bot nearly 24/7. Account doesnt seem to be banned, though. Cant log in because servers down.

Except it's not:
1. 2 people with single accounts banned not doing 24\7.
2. Lots of people doing 24\7 and not banned.

I'd say that's unlikely, if you run 7 accs on one PC you should know enough not to join public game or add people to friendslist on them. That said you're also likely to do gold selling which could be relevant.

Also would like to add that all these guys banned are on EU servers. If there is a US banwave it hasn't happened yet. Also something of note, I have been reading around on other forums and it's all quiet, no one reporting AuTO IT or auction house bans, demonbuddy users appear to be only one (I could be totally wrong on this), but I highly doubt DB got detected.

Yeah, most likely scenario seems to be it has something to do with the wednesday patch. Loot rules doing shit that shouldn't be possible or something, similar to the guy that got banned for using TP before he unlocked it.

I personally think its blizzard employee's manually checking up on a few accounts with a selected perimeter or something. Like ammount of times you killed sarkoth over and over again, online time, gold looted or w/e. This would explain why such a small ammount of people got hit, since doing manual checkup's like this is a slow and dreadful task.

I know this might sound abit unlikely, but again, just my personal speculations. Now to buy new accounts for Take 2

I noticed while watching one day that my bot was finding false doors to dank cellar meaning the wood was over the door yet it would walk up and try and go into the dank cellar then when he couldn't he tp'ed and logged out after i noticed this I logged out logged back worked fine for about 6 hours then it did it again gathering false positives reinstalled db ran a diff sarkoth got the same thing just keeping an eye on it and seems to be doing fine as of the other day

having "a crap load of gold" is in no way an indication that somebody bots.

"a quick check" a quick check for what? how do you know what kind of data they even keep? and for what length of time?

I never expect it to go live. Items is one thing, but game currency they already are opening that can of worms if they ban people for selling gold outside of the RMAH they will open themselves up to a lawsuit and a huge conflict of interest because they would be banning you because you cut them out of 30%.

Maybe they check everyone with the 100m gold collected achievement?.. That's my guess..
Other than that I've been running 3 Accounts for nearly 24/7 on 3 different IP's.. nothing happened YET
