I know this isn't directly related to DemonBuddy but I think it could open up a lot of avenues for farming/profit.

Is there anyway of being able to use another regions Real Money auction house? I'm currently in the UK, on the European servers and can only sell to other people in Britain who play (or use the GBP). I was hoping I could alter some info and get access to the US/Euro RMAH to increase my chances of selling, as there are so few people buying from Britain its literally impossible to throw items away. (I put up a perfect monk ring for ?10, it didnt sell then sold for 20 million gold).

From what I gathered so far I would need a new copy of the diablo, a new battle.net with a legitimate US/Euro address, a SMS code from that region and possibly to change my I.P. Maybe a new paypal aswell but not sure. Anyone got any ideas on how to go about this?
 
I don't see why you cannot get a US one setup and be gtg.

You have to be vary careful of where you get it all setup since even the America servers has 6 different RMAHs.

So if I were to make a Battle.net with a US address and purchase a US copy of Diablo, it would be possible?
 
You need a region specific account to do the sales them self but there is nothing stopping you using for instance a Euro account to farm in US then you get a US account and do the final sales on RMAH.
 
I see, so I could technically level a farming char no the US servers, find a US "partner" to do the transactions for me and have it go to my paypal? obviously factor in a cut for him/her.
 
So if I were to do this solo assuming I don't need a new paypal account, I would need:

1. A new Battle.net account locked to the region I want to use.
2. A new copy of Diablo3 from the region i want to use.
3. The ability to recieve and SMS on a phone from the region i want to use.

That doesnt seem so difficulty apart from the last one, and i can always use Winauth for the Authenticator.

To do this with a partner all I would need is to level a char to 60 on my current account and negotiate some method of selling. That sound correct?
 
That's pretty much it.

And you don't need a EU game client and US game client, it is only Russia that i have heard of that will lock you to a game client. (Because CD keys were cheap as hell)

What do you mean I don't need an EU client and US client, im confused... do i need a new copy of diablo at all? or do you mean i dont need to specifically get one from that region?

Nop, the auction house is linked together. The ? you see is both auctions set up for ? and Euros ... they just get converted.
 
Are you sure? from what I read each one is individual and has individual lists... I suppose the only way to test it is if someone selling something in euros puts something up for the maximum buy out and i check it
 
Be careful with this. A lot of people are getting their accounts banned for either buying or selling in another region. They do unlock the accounts, but it's a PITA to go through. Make sure you do your research, before you try it.

You can play your same account for EU and US at the same time I believe unless they changed it.
 
the sterling auction house appears to be a seperate one, theres hardly anything on there compared to the euro's based rmah, thankfully you can change your currency to euro's and then you can sell on the eu rmah :D

I love you, thank you so much i never noticed this. Heres hoping the Euro RMAH is a bit more succesful since nothing sells in GBP
 
You can only use the RMAH in the region where you bought the game. All the currencies and their respective AH's are localized. so i being in the us, cant use the EU RMAH unless i buy a EU cell and game copy. and vice versa.

The gold ah's are a bit less specific. So all of Europe / Asia / Americas

You can however log INTO other regions and use the gold ah. but characters are realm specific so say my main is here in the us. i make a character in the eu... it starts me over with the first slot in the stash lvl 1 artisans ect.

You need both, sortof.

US Clients updates like 24 hours before EU one, and for that time you're unable to play on EU servers with an Client until EU is patched as well.

But any cliant can log on to any server, outside of patch days.

Which regions will have real-money auction house support?Diablo III?s servers are divided into three game regions -- Europe, the Americas and Asia -- and each game region has its own set of separate real-money auction houses as follows:

  • Europe: EUR (Euro), GBP (Pound Sterling), RUB (Ruble)
  • The Americas: USD (U.S. Dollar), AUD (Australian Dollars), MXN (Mexican Pesos), BRL (Brazilian Real), CLP (Chilean Peso), ARS (Argentine Peso)
  • Asia: No real-money auction houses at launch
The auction houses for each currency are completely independent, meaning items posted for sale in one will not appear in another. For example, an item listed in the USD auction house will not appear in the AUD auction house, and vice versa.

So you either need to get another account and base it in the us somehow or stick with Europe.

There is no UK only though its just stating your local currency as a familiar price.
 
So i could potentially find an american friend to take the SMS code for me, set the account up at his address/name and link it to my paypal? or would i need a paypal linked to an american bank account?

Blizzard cannot see your paypal information... granted i would recomend using a different one / account... but they cant see anything other than the e-mail registered to your account
