Will Tommorow's HotFix Cause any DB problems/downtime?

hotfixes generally dont stop bot functionality because they dont update offsets, So the bot should continue to work without needing to be updated. But there is always a risk some new security measures can be updated, so if your paranoid you might want to rest your bots. I however will be powering away with all my bots.

But yay for more inferno lootz!!

Finally, fixing drop rate! Don't have to farm Act 1/2 anymore, because it was better. Finally can farm Act 3, and it'll be worth it!!!

they said they were doing rolling restarts for the hotfix, personally i'll turn the bot off when i go to bed tonight just to besafe. And check here for any updates since i <3 the dev's here :) also since i only have 1 acct...

So right now the drop rates are.
Code:
Item Hell Act III/IV Inferno Act I Inferno Act II Inferno Act III/IV
iLvl 61	9 %	18%	19%	24%
iLvl 62	2%	8%	12%	16%
iLvl 63	0%	2%	4%	8%

So its almost proportionately changed.

I think what they wanted to do was greatly increase (not lots) but make act 3/4 be MUCH higher than act 1/2 and hell 4....so in stead of being 0% 2% 4% 8% it may be 0% 2% 6% 10%

so it MAY look like

Code:
Item Hell Act III/IV Inferno Act I Inferno Act II Inferno Act III/IV
iLvl 61	9 %	18%	22%	26%
iLvl 62	2%	8%	14%	18%
iLvl 63	0%	2%	6%	10%

i belive that is the blog and hotfix updates, not the patch itself.

However, we know that a number of changes in 1.0.3b have been highly anticipated, and so we spent the better part of today pulling specific changes that did not run into testing issues out of 1.0.3b, and turning them into hotfixes. These include the Inferno drop increases among a couple others, and will be applied with off-peak rolling restarts tomorrow morning. We?ll also be updating the June hotfix blog with specific changes (including new drop rates) tomorrow morning after we manage to wrangle up a cup of coffee

Nice... Been trying to buy hybrid MF/GF items with decent stats in order to farm inferno Arreat, but they're all like 15 mill+. What kind of damage do you think is needed to bot the core? (being that it obviously wont kite). I was thinking the profile could use Ball lightening as a primary and Evasive shot when minions are near.

Farming inferno arreat? how do you think will do it?

dont think the bots are so advanced as to kill a jailer phasebeast in inferno yet...

I was thinking 2x hand-bows with at least 125% crit damage each... I have 24% crit chance without SS now, was looking to get at least 35% while keeping my dex above 1700.

lol, yeah... definitely not a jailer, but it would be easy enough to cast smoke screen and evasive fire for units that come too close. (in theory at least) :/

Lol, you actually play Inferno yet? Botting Core of Arreat Inferno?! O.o In MF gear?! xD

Sorry but that's total insanity. I'm not saying it's not possible, but the cost of the gear would take months to make back, and the initial investment would be in the 230+ million area. I play all classes, but my main is a Barb. And at that a very good one, though with low defense and insane offence. That said, I know defensive Barbs pretty well too.

In order for a bot to have a chance in Core of Arreat Inferno, it would more or less HAVE to be a Barbarian or possibly monk. It would have to have a custom build that prioritizes skills differently then the normal ones, something along the lines of this:Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III

Because unlike a human that can jump in and out of combat, move out of desecrate and away from arcane beams. A bot will stand there and take all of it in the face. You would not just need insane vitality in order to do this, you would also need an average allres of around 70 on all items and insane armor. Reduction vs Elites and more. You would need to get your EHP up to the 2,5 million area and even then you are more likely then not going to have a very hard time against the elites that spawn there such as Succubus.

So straight up, I think it's a downright retarded idea in the first place. You have NO IDEA, what you're trying to do here. xD

That said, MF barbs surely enough have a future. But in that case they will be farming different things then Inferno Act 3. A Barbarian with a build like this:
Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III

Should be able to 24\7 farm Act 1, Quest 6 waypoint. The small tomb that has about 12-15 mobs in it all at the end of the map, with a 100% guarantee that there will be at least 1 champion pack. With a good magic find rating you will probably find an average of 1 rare every 1 or 2 runs that has a 4.8% chance of beeing ilvl 63. You should be able to make the bot do around 60-80 runs per hour and make good money overall.
