Worth it to roll a DH just for gold farming?

My main is a Monk so I've been running gold farming profiles with him, but I can only max out around 200k/hour. I've seen so many profiles talking about DHs getting 300-500k/hour and I'm wondering if it's worth it to roll a DH from scratch solely for gold farming? Or am I just doing the Monk farming wrong =/

Any input?
 
Glad that i rolled a dh as my one and only char so knock yourself out.
 
I have 3x DH 1x monk... need to make it 4x dh... think that draws more attention to your acct? goldfinding with dhs?
 
You can get 500k+ with a monk on a1q2, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper to do it on a dh
 
Yay I rolled a DH and botted him to 60 in about a couple days using the ZK profile. On to Sarkoth!
 
well i have a DH and i can get 700k p/h on Sark using AGB profile but i have 308% gf and 0% mf :P

so i can say dh owns!
 
I personally think it will end up being best to just have all characters.

I have a 60 DH, Monk, Barb and Wizard.

My Wizard is my main which I don't bot on, my DH and Monk are my main bots at the moment, waiting for Demon Buddy to be on sale again then I'll start botting my Barbarian. Plan on making a Witch Doctor later too.

Currently my DH gets 440k/hr doing Core runs.
My Monk gets 420k/hr doing Sarkoth Runs.

However, my monk also ends up with a storage full of gems, rares and a few legendaries overnight. So overall, right now, my Monk is out performing my DH.

I'm pretty sure though that my DH with some better gear could be able to outperform my Monk though.

I guess it comes down to exactly what you're doing, if you were to eventually setup an Inferno MF bot, Monk would be better than DH.

This is why I think it is essential to have pretty much every class, eventually, something will be "overpowered" and it could be any class at any time.
 
yea its a good move right ...extra 200k will make up for the few days botting always
 
hell yeah im running 3 dh at all times sarking nonstop all around 480-600gph 330gf 220mf
runs are about 10-18 seconds long and are very effective.

only problem is that sometimes d3 crashes (not responding) or db gets stuck at resume game screen with resume game option already enabled.
wake up with like 1 bot running 1 crashed and 1 stuck in resume.

definitly worth it, was botting a wizard with a ton of GF gear at about 450k-550k GPH depending on RNG on cellar. But with less gear, my DH does around the same =P

I do 500K per hour on Sarkoth with my monk, while picking up all loot and selling/salvaging. This with just ~265 GF.

Running a diff configuration for every bot would be a huge pain with every class. You cant say your monk out performs your dh because if the dh was doing the same thing i bet it would be beating it (assuming gear was equal)

You just cant beat dhs atm i run 3 at the moment with 1 good geared + 2 decent aka 250 gf nothing special and its way faster than all my other toons and as far as the op stuff dh have been consistent gold makers in the top and leveling 4 other toons would jus tbe a waste of farming and with gold prices going down you cant really spare the time
