Does demonbuddy detect AoE?

like the title says, does demonbuddy detect AoE on the ground during fights against elite mobs. or if not , is there any plans for this to be added in the future?
i mean just like moving out of desecration or poison pools/moving from arcane/getting out of molten etc.

I think it can. I remember on release there was a bug which made demonbuddy attack the arcane aoe spell cast by elites.

I am pretty sure that it doesn't try to avoid desecration/plague/molten yet.
