Hey.

A lot of people saying that Blizzard has announced that they'll ban "powerleveling" exploiters.

I've searched, but I couldn't find anything about an official announcement.

I'm about to level a new demon hunter to 60, and I were thinking about doing Zolton runs all the way..

Well, if they are going to ban "powerlevelers", they have A LOT of people to ban. Highly unlikely though imo.

probably not, i'll wait to see if they hotfix this in tomorrow's maint.

I think they are referring to the Login/Logout method of powerleveling, not running ZK over and OVER

what in the EULA could they use as a justification for a ban?

Exploitation, using a game mechanic not intended under normal use.

Fuck that shit, if they cannot program correctly then they should get the fuck out. This shit is what beta testing is for, not our fault they decided to make it like 1/3 of act 1.

It's sad but the EULA pretty much says they can ban us for anything we do that they deem as exploitation. Basically blizzard can ban you tomorrow for no reason at all. (They will never give you specifics as to how you were caught, etc. They claim thats revealing trade secrets. lol)

This does not apply to powerleveling as in "Running ZK or Luitenant Vachem over and over". It applies to the powerleveling exploit which (to the best of my understanding) means completing the quest once, then turning it in 100 times over on a second character using that single quest completion. There isn't even a fine line here, one they dislike, other one is clear cut exploitation of the game.

Some dudes over at VS forums managed to automate the exploit running 2 VS clients and levelling to 60 in like 3 hours. Some even levelled over 15 characters so yeah, they're the ones getting banned definitely.

A lot of people say a lot of things.
IMHO, the only exploit blizzard ever bans for, is duplication.

Did they ban people for previous XP exploits? No.

I do, however, think it'll be hot fixed tomorrow (their 5-7am maintenance doesn't indicate a patch coming).

Ultimately, it's up to you. You know there's risks involved in pretty much everything we do!

That was me. It wasn't 3 hours, it was 6.
See my previous statement regarding bans.

Well this is basically XP duplication they're doing. You're completing one quest duplicating the XP reward an infinite amount of times. If that's not duping, what is?

i love how you bot, then complain when someone exploits something that you cannot. lmfao

^ Time will tell.
14x Azmodan was worse. 3x ZK was worse (you could level 3 toons in 6 hours with 1 carrier, this method is 1:1).
