Hello guys i am wondering weather should i upgrade my CPU fan to cooler masters v10 and get some x caliber fans or upgrade to water cooling systems for booting usage:confused: >.< Please aid me in my dilemma

Newegg.com - CORSAIR H70 Core High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
corsair-h70.webp

Its enclosed, I use one it keeps my 8cores at a consistant 18c at 100% load.

i think this too, but i broke down and bought 3x h100's... as they have really, really good reputation

Wow overboard? Lol I guess you must over clock the shit out of your CPU.. H70 would be fine for a person who may overclock a tiny bit but not by heaps.

I also recommend a FULL TOWER, Its a bit more expensive at around 200$ a case or more. But the air flow is much better. I use the NZ Phantom XT

Is not expensive in singapore just that I only affraid of the leackage........however it quiet than fan cooled
I am also at 70 Degrees that why i thinking of better cooling systems ....as i had a previous computer with stock had it on 24hrs for 3 moths n died over heated lol

I disagree with NZ Phantom XT. Looks fanciful. But the airflow on the top/side seems blocked. Colorful Plastic casing parts won't help to conduct away the heat.

Try this instead ->
ENERMAX - Product
Compatible with HTPX Motherboards.

If you are filthy rich, try this ->

Here's what a real air cooler looks like =P

Bet I get better temps than all of you usinx H-xxx ^^

It's a Noctua NH-D14 ;) Best Air cooler on the market IMO. Just make sure your case can fit it, and your RAM heatsinks aren't too tall. They have all the specs on their website.

It is indeed one of the best air coolers on the market right now, however it's currently a paper weight on my desk. The h100 beats it on my i7 960x by 8 degrees at full load. Still that isn't bad for an air cooler.

The thing is you can't really compare your temps to other peoples temps. Your temps may indeed be lower than mine even with an h100, but unless you have the exact same CPU as me with all the exact same settings it's a pointless comparison. Even then with the same cpu model and settings, your other components can effect your cpu temp, and just one cpu to another can run at different temps. A micrometer gap between the cpu casing and the actual chips can cause a difference in temperatures between cpus of the same model.

The only way to get a close comparison is to swap the units out on your cpu yourself and be sure your thermal paste is the same thickness and coverage each time. Even then 2 to 3 degree differences between re-installs of the same hardware is not unheard of. Human imperfection for the win :)

I have the coolermaster GT, which is $45 in 2 cases atm. it does great... it's similar. 120mm instead of the 140's that you have. It keeps my temps at 20-25 medium load... 30-40 high load (more towards 25-30 when developing)

i am still waiting on my h100's to come in

Running at 50 degrees right now with a 2700k OC'ed to 4.8 at 90% load (6bots+main account, shitload of other progs), with a room temperature of like 35 degrees Celsius. (Vive la France...)

Better than my H-100 ever gave me ^^

Yes, I've had both.

Edit - uptime of like 10 days
