if i am running windows 7 and get banned due to botting could i in theory just say i was using wine or does blizzard know whether im using linux or windows?

pretty sure they can tell the difference, you may be able to get away with it though. Idk

they do know what system you I reckon since you selected a installer for either windows or other OS, so if you used windows one they prolly won't believe you for using wine.

Wine installs diablo using a windows installer..... kind of the point of wine. It (very basic form of it) sort of emulates windows.

and yes. i know it's not really. W.I.N.E stands for wine is not an emulator.

I'm unfamiliar with wine + linux so don't know pressumed that was correct but I guess blizzard can read wether or not your on windows or any other Os.
