Just to clarify. by saying "Germany or worst case the EU" does that mean you will definitely be able to sell/distribute it in other places? Or could it be completely outlawed?

territorial law says, that they can not forbid me to people outside of the country where the court is

however , to do that, i would need technical systems that would not allow the citizens of that country to interact with the shot or the bot

But we are speaking worst case here, i see not a single logical argument, why the judge should longer stop us doing our business!

poor Boss trying to keep people up to date and then retarded questions follow. Use the search function people, or read the post that has a rundown of wtf is going on.

Thanks for the update.

To be fair, the search function really isn't the the best. I tend to look for stickies or at least read the titles of the top threads.

I don't see how this is diffrent from the lawsuit with honorbuddy? You beat 'm once, you will beat 'm again. I'm sure of that.
If not, Piratenpartei Deutschland has another thing to put in their agenda!

If IP range = in germany, block it...

Then claim you tried your best, people will still use VPNs but "There's no way you could possibly stop that.".

I wish you the best Bossland, i will hold with you until the end! Long live buddyteam! Death to trolls!

Yeah, I have some doubt that Blizzard would be willing to go through the trouble and expense of trying to trace those VPNs. If we look to examples of p2p/torrenters in America being hit with C&D's and lawsuits that resulted in settlements, it was only those who weren't protecting themselves with VPNs and uploading terabytes of pirated media.

This is actually a good thing. It will trim out the rejects. On a long run, it might be good news for people who stick with us, the buddy community. I'm talking about "us" because its "us" who created this community in the first place. No matter what happens, there will be a way, I'm sure Bossland will find a way to keep the community happy. The one that is left

Hey Boss im new to these forums and your product but I have to say I am very impressed with the way you are operating your company and dealing with this challenge. It is said that you can tell a man's character by how he handles under pressure, and you r handling has been admirable. I am relieved to hear that this will probably go in our (yes I used that word :)) favor and we will all be back up soon. Even if not though i will not be asking for a refund. Good luck in the courtroom.

Good luck Bossland, stay strong don't let the whiners or blizzard grind you down, i for one will not ask for refund even if it goes against you, keep the cash and buy a few beers for the team.

Hang in there. Ukrainian people are with you ))

No need to refund even if you lose. I know that organizing and the sticking through whole thing took it's toll on you.

I'm by no means trying to pressure you into making the bot operational before this all gets sorted and I truly do hope it's a smooth, easy win for you. As was mentioned above if you were to block all IP addresses from a German source and people found some way to sneak around that by using a form of proxy, vpn, etc... it wouldn't be your fault. People always get around borders when it comes to blacklisted/illegal items. On the purchase page you could make it clear that this product was not for sale to German consumers... if anything it'd give your product more of a taboo feel ^_^

Cant speak for whole of UK but im sure I do when I say were all behind you 100% boss, il never ask for a refund no matter what the outcome.

Bought the bot 3 days before the lawsuit, still I support the whole buddy team during the lawsuit good luck guys! and seriously if you would ask help from your customers i'd be right behind you!

I guess that if DB team is allowed to develop and distribute this bot at all, even if only in some countries, the life will find a way and everyone will be able to use it in the end. But they cant talk openly about this simply because that could be used by Blizzard aganist them in court.

Is it just me or is The buddyforum more or less full of Dyslexic people? who have difficulties on understanding written text.
Thats just something i've noticed but oh well..

Good luck in court Bossland!

im german too and i have to say germans are pretty dumb ^^ they cry they whine they flame they talk shit ... u know them but i still dont like the way you pigeonhole us :) anyway hb gb db were/are still fine good software good company. But in the end everybody has to mess up with the big fishes out in the giant sea ;)

Sounds like blizzard just through this together for the hell of it honestly. Internet law is always going to be questionable. Any injunction from a company would only apply to the people of that country where it is issued because a judge has no jurisdiction over other country's laws. To put it simply it would be like an american judge saying you cannot sell a product in Europe because it's illegal in the US. When in fact it's the exact opposite millions of products around the world are banned in the US but legal outside the US just like millions of products are legal in the US that are not around the world.

GL Bossland, Common Sense is not so Common anymore.

I say ignore the people who request refund, till proceedings are over with then issue refunds. It's not like you wont refund them you're just not going to refund instantly.

I love you. Be strong. I will never ask for a refund.

I was a member of Pirox. I thought it was an amazing bot. It got shut down by Blizzard. I found out about this bot (HB). I tested it. It made me think that Pirox was the shittiest thing I have ever used, even though I used to think it was great. In fact I don't think Pirox was that bad, I just think that HonorBuddy was far too superior and, in perspective, pirox ended up being shitty. Your products are amazing and you deserve all of our support.
