Hi there everyone,

i noticed that many people askin' *wooohooo* my bot doesn't work with the new patch or something like that!

It's because Blizzard entertainment inc filed out interim injunction at the germany court to stop Bossland, so read the linked thread and stop askin' this stupid questions!

Sorry for being rude, but it really makes me angry if everybody starts cryin' before tryin' to be informed about the facts!

We just got an interim injunction which forbids us to sell or distribute Demonbuddy.

The text means more or less, that we are not allowed to sell or distribute Demonbuddy. A hearing date in the next week or so will be set up and then the judges decide in which favour they will decide.

That means SELL and DOWNLOAD. I havent read on the entire forum that the bot WILL STOP WORKING as today. If any of you read that, link it.
 
But in law distribute contains the functonality of the programm, a good friend of mine is lawyer and running the servers which keep the bots running is part of dstributions the programm and can't be seperated from the selling or the download thing!

And i think the interim injuction just popped up because Bossland changed their mind about local nav, because then it's even more undectable. Just as a tought.

And i am not mad, just respecting Bosslands situation and tryin to keep informed about what's going on before shoutin out something stupid... *for all the whiners*

The forum is a place where people can come and ask questions and get friendly answers. We really don't mind so threads like this are not needed.
 
Just curious on what that means "localized Pathing" and local nav. Rootin for you Guys.

Please read around. It's kinda everywhere.

The injunction says they cannot support the software. Turning on the nav servers could be considered supporting ( especially if the judges involved are corrupt and/or bribed)

They are just doing it to play it safe. They said he cannot allow the download of it either, so no updates, profiles, or things like that. Plus they are more than likely just playing it safe, so as not to piss off the judge, and getting an easy ruling in their favor, and be back up and running.

Basically at the moment the bot submits to a server information about your current world (level) you're botting, such as your co-ords, destination co-ords, world environment/etc, then the server replies back how to get there (E.G. which route to take, turn left or right... go up the stairs or go past them). This takes a while due to the latency (internet lag, delay) of transferring over a WAN connection (Wide access network, the internet). What local pathing is is where instead of asking the server how to walk, it calculates it it's self. This will use more CPU (Processing power), but, will be a lot faster (No WAN delays).

I hope this helps you in your maze of technology.
