What to do while DB is down...

I've spent upwards of $5k USD I'd say to get three machines up, running 4 different games. I enjoy it as a side hobby, my wife says I'm stupid, and my friends call me a loser. But then I show them the money I make from something that is done while I'm at work, and then I win. I'd say if you have the overhead, get into it, it's a blast.
 
I did a couple act 1 runs then tried act 2 but I DC-ed cause of awesome blizz servers so I said fuck it I'm not farming 5 more valor again before I get yellows.

Would you say $5k is a typical amount serious or semi-serious personal (as in, not a company) would spend? I'm saving for a house so if I could keep the spendings down a little, that would be good.

You could easily start up with less. My machines are just i7s with decent GPUs in them, nothing too fancy, and they can each run 8-12, haven't tried more, instances of D3 at once. So you could just do it as a side hobby with a 3 session license, and 1 computer.
 
IRL = Worst game ever, farming AH when DB is down, or just do like i did and download all the versions of DB and see witch one is up. Was able to bot all the way to serverdown!
 
Today i just realized that i don't actually like Diablo i just really enjoy botting, i think i'll wait and see how things go and if it doesn't work out give my account to a friend.

After my .5 seconds of a mental breakdown, ill probably try to use some AutoIt. Rage that my resolution isn't good enough for that perfect script everyone raves about. Put on my tinfoil hat and get on the diablo forums and rant about the end coming. Diablo isn't actually gone and is in your internets, messing with your games quality. Watch some anime, complain it's only 24 minutes long and the next episode comes out in a freaking week. Cry and eat ice cream because my life sucks. Get over it because I'm making cash money. Like a boss. Watch a zombie movie, or read some "The Walking Dead" manga. Hire 2 private investigators and have them follow each-other. Make a fake blizz account and post on the retail forums why my bot doesn't work, including fake usernames. Try some more act 2 inferno, and kill a small child because those soul lasher things that explode are out to get me, *tinfoil hat mode*.

That's what goes through my head. I'm probably going to eat some pizza and simply not bot. It's not fatal.
