Why have we returned to ancient profiles and "class" combat routines?

I understand the ability to create a profile/waypoints is a very strong resource, but I don't think it should be the ONLY way to run the bot. Problems like this occur, where you have to write profiles for EVERY SINGLE area you want to run the bot in.

I don't think it would be difficult to have a navmesh for D3 when it exists for WoW and wow is so much larger.

Then we have the issue of trying to set up class combat routines for every bot instance you run, and then if you don't have the knowledge or skill or time to create a routine yourself you have to rely on other users to post theirs for nothing, or you can't try to use the default ones which are less than great.

Why isn't it possible to just tell me bot "Here, go to this zone. Grind it and then restart"? Why do I need a profile for it?

I understand the bot is only a few days old which is why I have yet to regret my 3 session payment. I know DB will eventually be useable (I used HB for many many years) but that doesn't really explain why they're continuing to use the same old ancient navigation systems.

Even Honorbuddy still mostly uses profiles and Combat Classes..

Very few things are 'automatic mode.'

Yea I understand that HB still uses profiles, but it started off using profiles and I'm sure the transfer is a difficult recode...but when they're coding a new bot from scratch I feel like it shouldn't be necessary to use outdated navigation. Profiles are clunky and problematic, and then additionally you have to take the time to make a good one yourself even if you have no knowledge, skill or time; or rely on other users to post their time consuming profiles free of charge.

Profiles are likely required for questing but the ability to simply enter a zone and grind should really be that difficult.

Profiles and routines are what makes buddy products godly....the power...think of the power....

Hmm? I'm not sure how these increase power... Its like if you compare a manual transmission car to an automatic one. The Automatic one makes it easy but you really lose a lot of control and options in the operation.

Other bots have traditionally used a scripting method and more or less offered a framework/API to interact with the game... Now THESE offer power, but require knowledge of their respective programming languages(Some use Java others C# etc etc).

The general CC doesn't work that bad. It's pretty ghetto, I know, but if set up properly it'll get you by.

That said, try this:

So far only Barb and DH have been implemented, but I'm sure eventually all will come.
Can't speak for the DH part, but the barb one works very well (other than not destroying breakables).

Yea I do use it, this isn't really what I'm having the problems with. Plus like you said only Barb and DH, still 3 other classes that are out of luck right now unless they want to use the meh defaults.

But really the problem is the lack of profiles. Eventually there will be a ton but right now its hard to get one for what you need.
