We recently issued a round of account suspensions and bans to several thousand Diablo? III players who were in violation of the Battle.net? Terms of Use for cheating and/or using botting or hacking programs while playing. In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play that?s essential to everyone?s enjoyment of the game, botting, hacking, and other such exploitive behavior can contribute to stability and performance issues with the Battle.net service. As always, maintaining a stable, safe, and fun online-gaming experience for legitimate players is a top priority for us, and we'll be continuing to keep watch on Battle.net and take action as needed.

yup,its a true story
other bots got a banwave

So.. how is DB's Warden protection gonna work.. we will be hearing about it soon i think :)

lol nah its for realzies. from us.battle.net/d3

"Blizzard Entertainment has always taken cheating in any form in Blizzard games very seriously, and that's no different for Diablo? III. If a Diablo III player is found to be cheating or using hacks, bots, or modifications in any form, then as outlined in the Diablo III end user license agreement, that player can be permanently banned from the game. This means that the player will be permanently unable to log in to Battle.net? to play Diablo III with his or her account.Playing Diablo III legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client. Doing otherwise violates our policies for Battle.net and Diablo III, and it goes against the spirit of fair play that all of our games are based on. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any hacks, cheats, bots, or exploits. Suspensions and bans of players that have used or start using cheats and hacks will begin in the near future."

Was to be expected that they would do their first banwave just before RMAH would go live.

Nice try pussies. Blizz ain't got shit. It's more of a publicity stunt, since even if Hellbuddy was created for Windows' Calculator.exe they would have been caught a banwave.

I imagine that kind information shouldn't be public, don't you think? :)

They can still provide info on how it hooks the game, doesn't need all the details.
But if I remember correctly, this bot doesn't inject anything into the process nor edits the memory of it. If this is true, warden got no chance.

Would really like confirmation to that process/memory editing part :) (like many others would like a confirmation i think)

Yeah, I expected something like this to happen.

I wonder if the price of gold will go up any.

Peek and Pull/Push, at least thats how HB worked. No reason to fix what ain't broken.

lol why would i post a lie? its a blue post on the d3 forums

I doubt you will, then it wouldnt work as any protection. Have faith in the devs, and don't both with something you can't risk to loose!

Well i am sure we will hear when first ones get banned.. WHEN/IF i am not saying i dont trust devs but i am sure IF someone is banned by DB it will be posted here

I expected nothing less than for them to start ban waves on DB release. I cant wait for servers to come up and see how effective your guys protection is. Its a mix for me have came from WoW and Rift o.O. But with the growing conflict between these 2 companies I am sure there beginning of the bans has some correlation to the timing of the release of DB.

1. We will get to see how effective it is against warden and if the time waited payed off.
2. I over think stuff and should shut up.

Just hope this doesn't take the path Rift did.
