Hi all,

I've always been interested in the world of botting, but never actually had any contact with a botter to know where to go for a real bot and not some scam/shit thing that will get me banned.

Recently we recruited this girl over for her shaman and she then followed with a bunch of her alts (all 85, geared) I overheard her and a guildy talking about botting and it got me interested again. So i asked her where so got the program from and she sent me here.


I'm super keen to get involved with all this, i just have a few questions that need answering before i go ahead and start dishing out the money for the program/second account.

Also sorry if this is in the wrong forum as i couldn't find anywhere better seeing as most of my questions are ban related.


Firstly,

Lets say my main account sends a RAF to my alternate email, then I accept it on my alt. then i raf lvl myself a new toon (just because) and my second account (for botting purposes) then Once the second char is 85, i start botting. Does the link of RAF at all risk the security of my main account?


Once my bot account has some mats/gold on it, what is the most recommended way to transfer the gold from one toon to another without once again risking my main? (my guildy told me that auctioning is the best way, can you give me a bit more info on this process)

There are a heap of things i want to attain on my main toon that take numerous hours of repetitive farming, for example the stone core mount, or any other mount for example. Obviously its not really that great to have such awesome mounts on my botting account! is it safe to use for this kind of purpose on my main??

How much am i looking to dish out to get myself setup?? (1 account, 1 year) including the cost of the actual game?


I have more questions that are escaping me at the moment, as its early and i have just woken up, will post again once i can remember.

you can't RAF leveling only works with grinding not questing.. but overall...

bot works well.

As far as I understand, he heamt that HonorBuddy only supports RAF grinding. If you're going to level the char yourself, questing is no problem. In addition to that, you will most likely not recieve any penalty for recruiting a future botter - at least I haven't heard of that.

1) Go to the "Blizzard Store", prices are right there on the page. (This is the link to the US site)
2) As Newborn stated, RAF (While using the Bot) will not work in questing mode, but does work very well for grinding. Note: There was a mass RAF ban a month or so ago that happened without warning or reason, meaning Botters where not the target (Yay, Blizz...).
3) If your toons are on the same account (Not client) you can just mail it. If your using two separate accounts then AH or again mail it (Just say one is your GF's or Family members account and one is yours if an issue arises).
4) I Bot almost 24/7, I never farm (Mats) as this is a sure way to get noticed (Profile routes are too well know these days, need the Farming writers to change the routes). If your dungeon farming you should be fine.

Lastly it all boils down to playing smart, Don't go from playing a few hours a day to Botting for a week straight. You need to ease into it, Bot the same amount you would play, and then over time increase the Botting time. Use simple logic and you won't have an issue.

What is the most popular uses for honorbuddy?

The order is something like this...

1) Farming: Mats, Honor, Items (non-mat)
2) Leveling: Toons, Professions
 
My personal favorite uses are for mats, honor, fishing, and lazy raider. Also use kick's questing to level any low level toons

Great, honour has always been something i've found tedious to grind. seems whenever I'm on ally we suck then whenever i switch to horde on same server they suck......

What is lazy raider??

It is a "basic" setup for the bot to just run the combat part of itself, while you control all movement. So pretty much you get to focus on everything going on in the fight, while Honorbuddy handles all of the DPS side.




Once you get more experienced, and if you choose to farm, you can use my plugin BuddyManager to set up a schedule of what to do in-game, in what zones, and what to farm, among other things.

I'm sure there are still a couple problems with it, but the only way I can fix them is if people find them first :)

Highvoltz also released a Professionbuddy profile that does sort of the same thing, just with less control over how much you can do with it. It does all of the gathering of mats very well, and randomly. If that's all you would use mine for, and you don't need a real "schedule" his would work just fine for you.

Lemme get this straight, your plugin works so that you just tell it which zones to farm and off it goes?!?

obviously this is all far beyond my ability right now, but i've always been proud of my ability with a computer so I'm sure it wouldn't be too long before i get a grasp of this bot stuff.

Firstly though i need to figure out if my crappy laptop can run wow. As I play on a mac and sadly you do not support them :(

All i've got so far from this thread is pushing me towards getting involved with this, just need to earn a bit of cash to purchase all i'll need.


So this is where I'm heading *please correct me if I'm doing anything account risking or stupid*

1. RAF from my main to a new email

2. Lvl new toon to lvl 80 (maybe 85)

3. Use Hb to farm (mats or just items)

4. Sell on ah to main (would i sell items super low or just buy stuff from main at a super inflated price) <--- anyone got any recommendations as how to do this, I know I'm probably being over cautious but i love my main <3


Past that i don't really have a plan as i would need to think about it once i can personally see the success of HB.

Anyone have any cool ideas that they have done with HB that they recommend
 
My plugin allows you to create tasks, build a schedule, and then the plugin takes care of it.

As far as moving mats, I've normally just made an alt guild, and dropped all the mats/gold and such into there, having a toon or two from the main account in it, and if you want to be very cautious you can make a third account the gm and just let the time on it run out. I've never heard of blizzard "banning" a frozen account :) Just another level of insurance.


There is always a risk, but you can take it slow, only gather what you need, and you'll do fine.

And most of the bans reported here these days are automated bans, since Blizzard has so system in place that takes care of the process for them.
More often than not when there is a 72 hour or less suspension within 2 hours of asking why the account is unlocked and free to be played again.
I haven't looked at the numbers, but it's probably above 50% of the permanent closures get overturned and the account is unlocked as well.
This may not be true in all cases, and are just numbers I'm pulling, more or less, out of my ass here. But hey...

Anyways, just be cautious when you bot, don't leave it afk, and don't get greedy. Get what you "need", or really want and would rather not waste the time getting yourself, and then take it slow for a little while again. Don't be on too long with a new account, and don't use only grind bot to level. We KNOW that blizzard keeps track of kills/some time period, although we don't know exactly what this auto-ban formula is.


Again, be careful, but have fun with it.

Then I would recommend a ?0,98/day for one day. Then you can actually see what it's like for little to no pay.
