Success Evading Bans/Mutes.

Whats the point in even muting or banning people if the mods/admins are just going to allow them to make another account.

Accounts should be limited to 1 per ip. Bans should be done with CIDR masks so if they have a dynamic IP they can't bypass it by resetting modem.

If your going to allow someone to make a second account when you mute them its completely pointless to even do.

If any mods need to be taught how to CIDR ban with vBulletin I'd be glad to teach them.

I find it really annoying that these super annoying people that evade mutes and bans even brag about it in their signatures and you do nothing. Then they come to chat and act like an ass and brag about doing it. Not to mention the person who incited this post follows me around and gives me shit non stop.

I Completley agree mate.. That same person is doing the same thing to me.. same thing is happening on the WI forum's too.. Its getting extremely annoying..

Obviously we're talking about GreaterDeath / GreaterDeathReplacement here since i've noticed whenever you posts he tends to post an abusive reply afterwards. I totally agree, it is kinda pointless that he was allowed to create a "replacement". The fact he's boasting about it in his sig makes the mods look a bit foolish in my opinion......No point muting really if that is permitted.

I'm one of the top 10 rep'd people on this site from going out of my way to help people. I have fun doing it. But certain people are starting to ruin my time here. I've been seriously considering leaving chat and forums for a while before certain people make my head explode. I'm generally a nice person, but even I have my limits before I start feeling that my head is going to explode, and a couple people are purposely going out of their way to piss me off, and they've been banned/muted and made extra accounts. It seems like a common practice here and its very easy to stop if you want to with default vBulletin options.

Or do something like this:
1. max a 10 day mute
2. If over a 10 days mute is considered then it will be a 3 day mute
3. Perm ban after a few warnings or a 3 day ban.

Just disable Forum registration. Everyone who bought GB or HB is able to log in with his/her "buy-data". I had a conversation with Bossland a while ago and we scratched this thematic too, his opinion was that 95% of people who register to this board the "old" way are bots/spammer/trolls anyway.

I see this as a double edged coin. 1 I was bann'd day 1 for a PM that was misconstrued by people. I made new account pm'd a few admins to work it out then logged back into normal account once unbann'd

BUT there are people and we know who we are talking about that honestly need a CDIR ban.

All of his accounts and his IP have been banned. We don't have the ability to CIDR ban with the console we have access to.
