my trials hasn't stopped at 20 it is now 21 and still going :S i bought gatherbuddy but am wondering if i will actually have to buy HB haha.
 
you misunderstand. i have GB and have the HB trial but my HB trial hasn't stopped at 20 or 21 as its supposed to . it is still going.

ahh righto cheers mate. doesn't make a difference really but just thought id report it as im buying the full version today.
 
here's how hb works (afaik): it checks your level when you turn it on. so if dont get dc'd from hb until LXX, then at LXX when you re-login it will not verify.

lol until you DC, or until it reports back to the server. whichever comes first :p but its not made to be exploited like that... lol
 
hawker, can you write code into HB that is something like this (after test/t3st has been used)?

Character is level X, AUTH OK! [we all know that part]
once an hour have HB check the level
ie:
{what level am I? Lxx, {if level < 20, continue, but if level >=20, kill process}}

have it check once an hour?
 
I think I made it to 25 before it re-auth'd. I don't think that warrants changing code to check for level though, I doubt anyone would make it too far :P
 
i only made it to 22... i think the code checks often, but not often enough, but i doubt anybody has gotten 30 or higher on trial tough :p
 
Its not something that bothers us. If someone is willing to jump through hoops to avoid re-auth they will be willing to pay €14.99 for the ease of using it properly.

Kind of on the same subject here, when you have bought the 14.99 version, how long till you get some kind of notification saying you can use your own username and password rather than test?

tbh, who really cares if they make it to 30.. its not like an acc is worth anything at that level lol... and you can do it very easily by hand..
