Does BGbuddy use Profiles?

I know that BGbuddy doesn't "need" a bg profile to run but I wonder if it would help? And if so how do you make bgbuddy pick the right profile for the right bg in your absence?

also is there am advantage to sticking with a single BG as apposed to going full random?

BGbuddy loads the right profile for the battleground your in, you can edit the profile, it should be in your default profiles folder, but you should NEVER load those profiles manualy into honorbuddy.

oh? I assumed because I wasn't loading them that it wasn't using any. In fact I see HB call out a non BG profile when it is initiating but I never paid any attention to it because I assumed it wasn't using any profiles.

nah, it loads them based on the battleground its in, it also makes it so if people want to customize they can easily do it without editing any code.

easily? I would love to know how to do this as well. Is there a post or thread that I missed? I can't seem to find out how to edit/customize it with out changing the code.

\Default Profiles\BGBuddy

Open up whichever BG you want to edit in editor of choice.

Then enter that BG. Start bot up in combat/lazyraider mode.

Check Enhanced mode and then press 'Developers Tools'

In there you will see 'Local Player Info' up top.
press the little blue button "Refresh your position"
Then double click the co-ords and something like this

<Hotspot X="1051.567" Y="-2981.876" Z="201.5835" />

will get pasted to your log window.
Copy from X to the last " and paste over the same part in the center position in your profile

<Center  X="-1360.146" Y="-253.3394" Z="99.36983" />

Would become

<Center X="1051.567" Y="-2981.876" Z="201.5835" />

You can also change the bounding boxes in the same way.
Changing the center co-ord at least makes sure your not in the same place as everyone using HB that doesn't change theirs. It also changes your pathing to an extent because it's finding a different end point.

The easiest way to do this is to die and run around as a ghost and get all your positions you want. But whatever floats your boat.

im new to this... but when i run BGbuddy on my Fmage... it just melees so i was looking for an addon/pluggin/profile that would get him to cast? any clues?

i would suggest looking around at the different combat profiles .. there is singular that should be working for you. good luck.

^ Go look in the " Combat routine " section on the forum - Then just place the map in HonorBuddy/routines.. Let me know if you need more help to solve the problem

This might be a stupid question, but i'm still kinda new to this. I've recently been suspended, but I cant take my hands off honorbuddy. Now i'm using BGBuddy with a downloaded routine, but to make it more safe, I want to change the pathing it's using in bgs. I wanted to try your method, but I cant find the place called 'center position' in honorbuddy. A little help would be much appreciated.
