Hey, I downloaded the latest HB and it won't load. It logins then does nothing... just sits forever. I created a new folder and everything and still dont work.

Here is only thing in log:

[9:58:31 PM:755] Logging in...
[9:58:38 PM:005] Buddy Sessions: 0/0
-----
Shared Sessions: 1/1

Any ideas? Thanks!

did you extract everything inside the zip file to the new folder?
not JUST honorbuddy.exe?

I did that and reinstalled and it is still doing the same thing locks up as soon as it initializes. I'm stumped :/

check if all available windows updates are installed

check if all available windows updates are installed

Yeah my computer is on auto update and I manually checked and everything is up-to-date. Also I should mention that this started happening after the last update (not yesterdays) - before that Honorbuddy always worked fine, no issues.

BTW I downloaded yesterdays release and tried that and it crashes and gives this error "There's no current process handle... are you sure you did everything right" then crashes.

download the latest Hb version and make a new Hb installation from scratch
try it and let me know

wow addons must be disabled

I did... every time a new HB release comes out I create a new separate folder for the installation. And I hadn't tried without addons yet but that doesn't change the effect either.

I feel slightly stupid now... I know enough about this type of stuff that the error seemed like a security/user permissions error or something of that nature. Well it turns out Comodo firewall was on "game mode" which was shutting it down because it was a "new" program.

Thanks tony for the suggestions and time. It is now fixed!
