He wants justice, and thats not childish, thats a basic human right.

He didnt do anything against the rules, he got in a conflict with a mod and I guess he had his reasons.

Democratic forum wouldnt work, but fascism works nowhere, 'executing' (banning) people who get in a conflict with 'people in power' is not good eather.

Swiny had his arguments set straight, and he got a hammer instead of an argument or an apology back. ( i guess lol i havent bothered reading the entire discussion)

I do not have anything against CnG or any of the Mods but hell, banning a person whos doing some quality contributions for the community just because he didnt like the attitude of a mod and complained about it makes no sense.

I hate to intrude on the "save swiny" bandwagon but do you seriously not see an issue with a public thread calling someone out? Mod or not, that sort of behavior is completely unacceptable. We're not talking about justice here, we're talking about holding this community hostage for petty revenge. We should all move on and grow up.

you, you are kinda right, calling CnG out in that thread was a very sad move on swiny's side :) Why coulnt he just ignore him if he doesnt like him :P

That would not change the way the "Staff" treat people now tho would it.
 
Swiny broke the Forum rules and guidelines:

? Comments/suggestions/complaints regarding forum moderation should be sent to [email protected] with [MOD] in the subject line.
? Do not “target” your posts for specific employees.

and this Thread totally got out of hand, the start was kinda ok, just some opinion sharing, but at the end it was a public execution of CNG. If he is right or not doesnt matter, this just isnt allowed in a normal public forum.

Did anybody honestly think that a public thread insulting a moderator would accomplish anything either? All it takes is the smallest amount of common sense to realise that putting the entire moderation team on the spot like that with a public hate thread would only result in more drama. I'm honestly surprised that CNG didn't ban him on the spot -- but let's not forget that CNG had nothing to do with his punishment; it was Tony correctly enforcing the forum rules that resulted in his suspension. Whilst I'm sure a thread full of "I hate CNG" is more satisfying, the only correct way to deal with issues like this is to privately get in contact with somebody who has the authority to do something about it.

I think swiny is not acting childish, when you do do much for someone with no incentive why carry it on if banned? Stupid they banned him

You know, after reading that, I'm not sure I even support Swiny anymore. Actually, I am sure I don't.

CnG is a decent moderator with human emotions and Swiny was warned just about a week ago about flaming CnG in a thread - and obviously he ignored that warning and posted the farce in the illusion of a poll. I true poll would be him posting his opinion and his choice in the poll, not rebutting every single post that was contrary to his and trying to feed the negative fire.

I respect Swiny as a developer - he appeared to be talented and intelligent - but honestly, I'm done with his CCs, I'm done with his plugins, I am done with his crap - I am done with this DRAMA. This isn't grade school.

I honestly hope that he continues with his temper tantrum and either doesn't come back or is perma-banned. This thread and other posts by him have done nothing but damanged HB more than he claims CnG has.

My opinion - feel free to disagree. I am done with this childhood drama.

PS. Ultimatums rarely work... and in this case, I seriously doubt his ultimatum of If I'm not reinstated by so-and-so" will do anything other than blow up in his face.
 
Maybe someone could clean this thread a bit until everything is settled? As much anybody wants Swiny back this thread is about his CC and we should keep it that way. Maybe my next 85 will be a rogue, who knows ^^

if you have been keen on swinys SVN he is keeping tabs on this post ... besides making another thread will most likely result in an infraction :)

and besides if a problem is posted swiny cant do much about fixing it now anyway :(

Meh ban cng. Awhile back i was reporting his posts. Nothing ever happened. Also, i will never modify or write cc's for hb because some devs get bent out of shape if gasp people borrow there code. This is why the pqr community is so much better to work with. We encourage using each others code to improve rotations so they continuously get better. But here on hb people have sand in their vag way to often.

Tldr: cng needs to be let go. I have actually drifted away from hb for awhile because i tried to help a couple new people out and he came in with his epeen big dickhead self and was a smartass than locked the thread.

Well if he can't do anything about it and you feel that topics about CCs, plugins and such should be filled with stuff that is unnecessary, then be my guest.

I have nothing against Swiny, I like the guy and I feel the same way about CNG.
But leave threads to discuss what they actually are about - and while his ban does affect his creations, giving your personal oppinionw about it is not.
