Hey,
First let me start by saying... Gz on launching the bot.
However i think there is alot of work to be done to the bot before its gunna be viable.
Point 1: At the start of battles I think it would be an idea to wait 30 seconds or so before moving at all, perhaps make it random between 20-40 seconds? Because at the start of the battles the bot seems to just crash into things infront, then reverse into tanks behind and perhaps a little outside your own cap you'll hit another tank to make it 3 times before you even leave the base area.
Point 2: The bot seems to charge into battle straight away.. just done another battle on westfield with type 59 and this time it charged along the lower part of the map and came face to face with 4 enemy tanks, I wonder if the problem would be solved with having something like profiles which was used in HB for WoW, like a Maus profile which would be more interested in drawing fire, keeping frontal hull faced to the enemy and then having an IS7 profile, move from cover to cover quickly and firing on the move, again these are just examples.. maus could translate to lowe and is7 translate to type 59.
Medium Tank: My first battle was with Type 59 on malinovka and the bot took him straight along the left side of the map (starting base I) from J3 to H2 when the battle started and when it locked a target, stopped in the open and started shooting, was dead pritty much within 10 seconds of stopping ( I have to admit, a bad map for a bot anyways). Perhaps the bot should take a more "camper" attitude?
Light Tank:My second battle was T-50-2 on artic region, this was when i found the whole waiting 30 seconds idea needed, I ran into everything around me, It looked very bottish and also when I was done, drove to what looked to be a waypoint behind my cap and then started driving around circles, At this point i stopped the bot because I was starting to get attention ( which i did not want ) ^^
Heavy Tank: I also tried playing the Maus on sandriver, at the start again the bot took the Maus around in a half a circle direction and reversed into another tank, then drove straight down the road... locked a Type 59 on the dunes and turned and drove directly back up the road while trying to get a clear line of fire on the type 59 it had locked. Needless to say, all that was behind me started shooting me, at this point i tried to stop the bot but it crashed WoT
.
Just a few comments, perhaps more people could share their Experiences/Suggestions.. so we can see what tanks work best.
best regards,
BB
