You can grant as long as the 90 day RAF link still exists. You just won't get any extra levels to grant passed 80.
Personally I make sure I have my linked account at 80 and my main account at high 79 and then grant the last level so you're real close to 81.
A little more detail may be more helpful here:
If you're granting all the way to 80 (2 RaF toons are using all their grants), don't hit 79 and go grind out that level.
Get yourself a kill away from level 2 and then do all of the grants. It's five minutes versus a couple hours.
On the same token, if you're so inclined you can grant RaF levels cross-server if you get the grantee to level 10, RealID the accounts, and pull both characters into a cross-realm dungeon.
Can you elaborate more on this, and when you tried it last? I tried doing this with a level 10 I pulled into RFC, and had two different toons from two different realms in the instance... then I tried granting the levels from my high level to the level 10 and nothing happened, no error msg either... whats the trick here,?A little more detail may be more helpful here:
