Hi there, I've been using HB for a very very very long time now. I've always enjoyed it and never really complained. Even now I'm not just wondering if it's normal for getting very bad fps with directx 9 and world of warcraft? Currently using Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Hey Tony, thanks for clearing it up. Just means theres something either wrong with my drivers or something that's causing really bad FPS with wow and directx 9. On the other note.. direct x11 works perfect with wow but its not supported with hb. And its AV week XD so i'll sort it out afterwards. If anyone else are having similar issues ill post within here to explain how i fixed it.

quick question. Why can't HB run off Direct X 11?. Will it ever be upgraded so we can run it off DX11?

I have the same problem Veld, when i switch to DX9 my FPS spikes and drops to about 1-2 just by turning my char, i even had to place my character in IF or anywere outside SW when farming honor to prevent the massive SW lagg when i logg into the game... i run the same GFX card, dunno why it happens i got the latest drivers and i can't seem to find a reason why when google'd.. so if you find a possible solution please let me know in this topic?=)

As far as I have understood they use direct x to inject their code; maybe I'm wrong.

Try to reduce the ingame details settings (lower it from ultra to low). Maybe you have some direct x 11 water effects withs won't work on dx 9.

Well i can run it perfectly on ultra with DX11, but not even on everything turned to the lowest can i prevent the FPS drop with DX9:(

do you have your wow addons turned off and completely updated? once i had wow basicly locking up because Re-count was old and causing problems with the new version of wow causing it to get about 2 fps, and then lock up. try clearing your wow caches as well.

BUT if it helps solving the problem, when turning everything off or at the lowest setting, the FPS drop ain't that massive, i can now run at about 10 FPS instead of 1-4 in SW, but it seems i gotta stand still for about a minute for everything to "load" or whatever, because its only in heavy populated areas and or places with massive environmental movement it freezes and drops very low, but farming AV gets pretty rough.. i know there is a command or used to be to reduce/enhance the visibility of certain aoe spells like hellfire, blizzard and such.. can i apply that to reduce the massive shit going on in places like AV? or won't that affect the performance in any way?

Got everything disabled.. i also play private servers so i delete my cache everytime i exit the game

did you ever try to remove the config.wtf file bevor botting (dx 9 and 32 bit game client)? Of course you should save it somewhere else ^^

what config.wtf? SET gxApi "D3D11" can i change that to D3D9? to make it run on DX9?

go into your wow settings.

WoW has two different DX 9 modi

SET gxApi "d3d9"
and
SET gxApi "d3d9ex"

d3d9ex will - as far as I know - only works on direct 9c

maybe the gui / wow detects only d3d9 while d3d9ex has some memory improvements

CodenameG this is what i have to do to get the bot going i know that, but when i turn it on DX9 and restart, the dps drops below what is every playable.... is there any way i can either tweak/code HB to run on DX11 or is it any way i can make it less laggy on DX9, as mentioned i got everything turned down to the lowest..
And just to set an example, i was using the quest bot with kickz profile 12-58 and did a quest in Badlands on the what the fudge is the name, you gotta knock 12 rams off the ledge, well the quest item requires you to go farly close to the edge of the mountain to knock em off, so cause of the fps drops, the bots falls off the cliff and gets stuck... it ran fine on the same profile on my mates HB so it gotta be it..

Yeah i noticed the SET gxApi in one of the config files in the wow/data folder or whatever, can i just change that 11 to 9 and see if runs smoother, think it has anything to do with it?

no, honorbuddy will only attach to wow while running directx 9 mode.

Is it giving you shitty FPS when HB is not running, or only when HB is running?
