Hey guys, I've been out of town on vacation for the last 3 weeks (since the week the patch came out), so I haven't botted since then.
Among the lolbanwave lulzfest I read something about blizzard watching when there's more than 5 accounts loaded from a single IP.

So my question is, is there any basis for that or just more misinformed comments?
I'm wondering because on a given day I run somewhere between 4-6 accounts (I use 4 botters, my main account and my main auctioneer account).
I could just run the bots exclusively from work if there was any real risk, and not worry about it, but I'm curious to know if there has been any kind of confirmation on that.

Thanks!

blizzard sat on player reports for a couple of weeks and investigated most of them, in the cases where they found people running a bunch of accounts, they cleaned out those operations top to bottom.

honorbuddy is not detected, there has been no update to warden, and there was no patch to update software detection. people saying "I read something about blizzard watching when there's more than 5 accounts loaded from a single IP" is completely not true there are still alot of people running multiple accounts who are just fine, thats the problem when people get banned like that, lots of people speculate and come up with a lot of false information and it scares others.

Mostly true. Warden was updated (and in fact, "turned back on") when 4.3.2 hit. However, there's nothing worth mentioning in the update. (None of it affects HB in the least)

Thanks for the answers guys.
I know HB is undetected. I don't pay much attention to the mass panic. I find it hillarious.

I was just wondering if they had improved their data recollection and were using that data to go after people with multiple accounts (as a lot of people were saying).

I know it's usually nothing, but I figured I could just ask in case I missed something :).
