Frost DPS | Winter of Discontent [4.3] - Elitist Jerks

my rotation for master frost WITH 4pc T13 is:
POF+Raise Dead
Blood Tap
Diseases(outbreak/PS if Blood disease falls off)
HB(Rime/Endless winter)
Oblit(KM)===>>>> reasoning for this over the FS with KM proc is the 2pc t13 oblit's can grant on chance 2 procs of Rime
Obilt(both Fr and Uh runes are up)
Frost Strike(KM)
Oblit(2 death runes)
Frost Strike(RP capped)
Oblit(2 Uh runes)
HB(< 90 RP)
Frost Strike(> 90 RP)
HB(< 60 RP)
HB(> 60 RP)
Frost Strike(> RP)
than your HoW check can be place here if you want.

Reasoning for how I break up the rotation like i do is to have as little dead time as possible while trying to game RP for Frost Strikes for the 4pc T13 which effects Runic Empowerment. At the same time I am trying to make sure oblit's are used enough so i can take advantage of additional Rime procs which is free dps imo for the 2pc t13 bonus.

If the player does not have any t13 than oblits should honestly never be used As it would be a waste of undeath/Frost runes that can be used for more Howling blasts as it benefits from the Frost DK's mastery along with using Frost Strikes for the Killing Machine procs as Frost Strike also takes advantage of the mastery for Frost DK's....

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT FOR IF YOU ARE WANTING TO USE MASTER/POWERFORST IN RAIDS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF CURSE OF ELEMENTS DEBUFF PROVIDED IN THE RAID. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS THAN THIS PLAYSTYLE IS GIMPED.

Disclaimer: this is what works for me and my 10man group i usualy rank every fight in normal and in hm raids.
Ultraxion I am listed in the 40's in both 10 man and in 25 man at 37-39k dps

I just came back to post my rotation, its not based of yours but is very similar, test & critique.

Wrong... there are 4boss encounters in DS that you will be at ranged for a good portion of the fight. Also where else would u put those points at? Mindless winter-nope, lichborne-nope. Good try though

Nice man I will fire up hb tonight and give it a spin. I primarily use pqr on my dk with the rotation and ability edits I had done for myself. If you want those wulf send me a pm so you can see how I have it working

Erm, maybe I missed it but what is the difference between:
1. MasterFrost_Wulf.cs
2. Frost_wulf.cs

I read you guys are so excited about the master frost but does it require 2pt13 or?

To the person asking what the difference is between reg. Frost and masterfrost...
Masterfrost you reforge for as much mastery as possible where as reg frost you stacked as much haste as you can till you get gcd locked which for most players is around 2200 haste.

Rotation difference between the 2 is masterfrost favors howling blast and frost strike. You only use obliterate if you have a km proc+both pairs of unholy and frost runes are up.
This changes with the 2pcT13. Obliterate are what cause you to get rime procs so yea....

And if you are playing unholy state priority has changed to haste/critical than mastery but the rotation is pretty much the same. Have a good day.

To wulf: did some preliminary testing last night on my although dk that has in average ilvl of 379 and well your CC is right on par with mine. I will do a main raid with yours this week and send you my WoL parse through pm.

It certainly still does an "ok" job without tier-13, just with it.. it's total annihilation, at least to my knowledge.

one question i copied wulfs DK Rotations into ..\CustomClasses\FelMasterSVN\Classes\DeathKnight\ but at the startup i can only choose ossirians Frost rotation? Where is the error? :-)

it does the same dps as reg frost without any t13 but once you get 2pc/4pc it takes off and there are plenty of fights in DS where you are at ranged and masterfrost boosts the Howling blasts so we become better at ranged imo. Examples of being at ranged and chasing stuff... The ooze boss and killing/running to from oozes, Hagara when you have to kill pillars/elemental, Madness alitlle bit when working on bloods/running to and from claw/tentacle, Morchok if you do not know the AMS trick to the fight and the gunship yea.... how often are the melee adds no where close to the stack component of the fight :p...... the BIG ONE masterfrost does AWESOME AOE DPS...

k now to Wulf.... I am not able to get your CC to produce my numbers with PQR but for HB this is hands down the best out right now you are only 1-2k off from me and I don't think you can fix that as the loss in DPS is the delay in detecting procs. Like when my rime procs it sits there for like .5 to .75 secs trying to figure out what to do. With PQR It is damn near instant. If there is someway to change the delay time in which the CC can respond to changing variable I think this will beat my profile out.

Ensure your Deathknight Directory looks like the picture attached. Otherwise please attach a log.

*Ignore my HB directory name (Version), I am using the latest HB, I used the update function.

@imdasandman I think i fixed that 1-2k dps difference, see latest svn.
