What is the max time you should herb/mine for?

What is the max time you should herb/mine for, and not get flagged?

I got banned the other day and customer rep said, user was mining herbing too long, i was mining 16-18hours/day
 
I just run it for 2-3 hrs a time 3 times a day and move locations to not be too obvious.
 
I'll bot anywhere between 8 and 24 hours a day, never been banned for it.

If you're not botting in an over-botted zone you wont have any problems. The only thing that will really get you in trouble is people reporting you. My farmer has almost no quests completed, no rep to speak of, no jp/vp/hp... he's been going strong for a long time now.
 
I always do less than 10 hours/day. Never had a problem yet and I have so much gold I don't know what to do with it.

There are only so many profiles on the site, kinda limits where you are gonna go and what route you are taking..
 
I bot 6 accounts for gold. So the lowest i can go is probably 10-12hours, then i have to put in a new shift of characters.

Question is:
Can i have one account with two lvl85 toons on it bot 12hours + 12hours individually cycling?
Or will i need account1 lvl85 do 12hours + account2 lvl85 do 12hours?
 
24/7 for the past 8 months on 2 bots. never been banned once
 
I have left it for more than 24 hours before with no problems.
 
Personally, i run my bots for anywhere between 8-14 hours a day, depending on how full my gbanks are.
Been doing so for like.. 2 years now with no bans *knock on wood*

Though, i use my own profiles with extra height than most of the profiles on the forums to reduce the chance of getting noticed as much as possible.
Or at least reverse the waypoints of any public profile i use.
 
You can do a significant number of hours per day, but if you mine in Uldum for 18 hrs, someone at some point is going to report you. Just move around. If you go afk to go to the grocery store, let it go in uldum... when you get back, go somewhere else.

(Uldum is hugely over-botted and people report people like crazy on my server).

Luckily, never been suspended for that.
