Is Druid herb farming not really supported?

Hey.

I've got a question, and maybe I missed something, but could it be, that as a Druid with herb the not is bot acting as it could be?

What I mean is, that if I farm as a Druid, I will use the Flightform, which allows me to herb without dismounting or formshifting.
Even if I get into a fight I could just fly away, without fighting against the mob.
GB/HB is not doing so. As soon as I'm getting attacked, it will shift into cat and fight. This costs time, is not human like and often I'm dieing because the gear isn't good and if more than one mob adds, the bot can't handle that anymore with my char.

I couldn't find something in the forum, so I'm wondering if I maybe miss an option like "dont attack as a druid"?!
I would really appreciate a function like that.

It's the same with Singular. As soon as a mob is attacking me, the druid stops looting, shifts into cat and starts to fight, even if it's not needed.
 
I can't speak for using cat, but my balance druid works just fine herbing with Singular
 
If I'm not getting attacked it is working fine. But as soon as a mob attacks me, it does not :)

In this case it even has finished farming, but the mob targeted me and my Druid shifted first to the normal form and afterwards to cat.

I have just specced Moonkin for testing purposes and it's the same. Getting attacked, switching into "caster form" and then into moonkin.

It did fly away earlier i think, but du to the problem with the bot flying up/trying to farm again, attacked a second time, loop this 200 times and never farm problem, that function was removed.
 
If you use fpsware's CC for druids and have at least ilvl 333 blue gear you should be fine. I am not farming on my druid anymore lately, but I used to do herbing until 6 weeks or so ago. I just did some AV botting for 2 or 3 nights, buying the pvp gear and it never died even to 4 adds it would just rape them as a feral.

But I dunno as of today. Some other toon of me took over farming and I dont farm herbalism anymore.

But yea, it does look like a bot. What normal person wouldn't just fly away instead of killing the mob?

I was using WoWRobot in the past (I'm usually not using it anymore, as I prefer HB, except for that case ^^), which was exactly doing that and it was working better :)
To show you, how in my opinion it should work, I made another video with WoWRobot, which does that almost in a perfect way:

In this video the mob even hits me, but the toon is continuing herbing and flying away as soon as he finished. This is actually what I understand under "druid support"

My gear is a piece of shit... I've just levelt it with herbing and I've got not even the high gear of Wotlk. Most of the stuff is around 245 Itemlvl :)

Ouch... such gear makes you look like a bot too, you know ;)
Anyway I don't know why it's not doing that... I'd prefer it too :)
 
BoE PvP gear is dirt cheap, and easy to make (most professions have to make it for their last few skillups anyway) Go buy a full BoE set, get a decent weapon, then start farming. IMO the surest sign of a gather bot, is one that has shitty gear. It also leaves you open to getting ganked, which kills your efficiency more than killing a few mobs. For my toons, once they hit max level i get all the BoEs, then farm BGs to upgrade to 371s. Then i can bot easily, kill mobs faster, and often hold my own if i get ganked. Just cause it's a gather toon doesn't mean it shouldn't have gear.
 
gear's not really related to this issue, though...unless HB does something based on how much you get hit, which is unlikely.
I have a tauren DK, running fps CC. he lands, gets attacked, ignores the herbs till he kills the mob... that's unnecessary.
There should just be a check for taurens and herbalism...even better if you are a druid where you don't need to engage in combat ever.

my dk also has a 260-ish gear, in uldum he is just fine.
 
Well I've improved my gear now alot... Apart from 1 trinket, 1 ring, helmet and weapon I'm 353+ geared. Spent around 11k, but I think thats ok...

Still I believe that HB should being changed for druids, as it's really not human like how he is acting... No Tauren Druid would start herbing, also finish and then cancel looting to kill the mob first and herb afterwards again...
I hope that there will be something changed, as other bots, which are not as complex and good as HB, supports that since the beginning.
 
wow 11K, its just a few days of farming AV with PvPbot (not bgbot) to get your 4K cap multiple times, for that u get an ilvl 359 weapon and the other gear will be ilvl 371, in all slots. For free ^^

Maybe some hundreds of gold if you want to equip gems...

But o well if you have enough money you could be lazy and just buy that hehe...
 
Sounds strange, but I'm not a big fan of botting :) So I try to reduce it to a minimum and only bot for personal purposes, like getting mats for an enchant or something like that :)
 
Yeah, I understand your point of view and can actually respect that. You probably saw my reply a while ago in some other thread. I'm not really a botter to "c.h.e.a.t" (forbidden word?) or "sell gold", however what I'm doing is still c.h.e.a.t.ing. I just try not to disadvantage other people, try not to influence economy too much, I don't sell gold, etc.
I used to play shooters, and I would for example, NEVER EVER use aimbots or hacks in there. It would be quite lame to me.

It's just that this game would take forever for someone like me to get to the point where it actually gets enjoyable, if I could reach that at all before a new patch would be out forcing me to start over again. I have some weeks I cant play at all, some weeks in which I can play only 2 hours, some weeks I can play up to 8 hours. You can't really get to the enjoyment part like that, when actually all I want to do is PvP.

And I really like to play, cause some of my friends do as well.

So I'm really happy with this bot software which actually enables me to play with my buddies and colleagues for a few hrs each week :)
 
Well actually this thread was not about talking about my gear, or botting at all.
It's more about the obviously missing functionality to support more druid farming :)

Do you have any plans to implement that?
