Grind vrs questing vrs Gathering?

Just wondering how grinding and questing compare to gathering and archaeology.

Currently using Archaeology to level my 75 paladin. hes getting 15,750 per dig site. and needs about 1,300,000/level.
which makes it about 145 dig sites per level. I'm not really able to tell how long each level is going to take, due to un-even travel times.

How long does it take you to make a level questing and grinding?
 
Grinding is an easy ban. Questing is really fast if using Kicks profiles.

Are there any specific ones you could recommend for a horde pally?

It is working darn near perfectly. I have had very little problems with it.

I can't even fathom trying to level this stupid skill manually. It would take months of work.
 
It's a boring skill to level lol. Funner to watch the bot do the Arch then by hand.
 
Are you really in a hurry on your pally? If so quest or just continue to Arch. Arch is a bit slower but safer IMO because it keeps you moving all over and out of the populated quest areas.

If you’re not in a hurry, train up your toon on herbalism and mining and unleash your toon in Northrend for the next 5 levels and then at 80 move over to MH until 85 (or switch to Uldum at 83 or so). It is much slower xp to be sure but you will make lots of gold doing it and still get leveled. This is how I level up my farmers now and it works great! Basic greens are all you need with the odd blue thrown in.

It’s not too hard to level it up by hand with each solve worth 5 points, but very annoying to find anything good doing it by hand. You need to be maxed for anything nice and then you have to solve hundreds of puzzles to find anything!
 
I was thinking of going arch at lvl 70 for the mount speed. But Kicks questing profile works pretty well with the occasional stuck or no vender.

The only thing about arch that sucks is when bliztard puts the dig sites right in the middle of an Alliance town. I had to run all over Aerie peak trying to get my body back after he went in there.

Same happens with Alliance...easiest thing to do is blacklist the 1 or 2 places where you run in to trouble like that and every few hours take over from the bot and do those dig sites on your own by hand to make it easier.
