This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

Well that's a shame. Lost my main account in it.

edit: wanted to point out that when i went to check on them they were trying to login and got a instant DC each time (not a ban message).

which makes me believe the reolgger is the cause of the bans, accounts that were not running it are still up and running.

Gonna try and appeal these. we'll see how it goes.

I would try to appeal. If you truly havnt sold any gold, then their terms for banning you are incorrect. Either your account was compromised and they used it to sell gold, or your lying... or blizz is being a dick.

none of the accounts banned were involved in selling gold, or compromised.

the accounts that were involved in selling gold are still going strong, ironically.

are you able to show us the email's u sent i cant think of a way to try and get them off their abuse of the economy bans ive got 15 banned accounts in total and 10 of them where for abuse of the economy. are u able to post a copy of your apeal or send it in a private to me at all?

I dont think theres really a best "reply" its either you fight it or you dont, and its up to them. I always reply saying I dont know whats going on, I cant log into my account... usually works if theres evidence to unban you. Seems to be easier on US though, I used a proxy + VM on an account to sell gold and EU told me it wasnt compromised, maybe US is just because they're so ban happy lately.
