1) 4928 is more stable than 4260.
- If that statement is not true for you, then you did something wrong. Try COMPLETELY deleting ALL honorbuddy files from your computer and make a COMPLETELY NEW FRESH install.
Making a blanket statement like this is completely asinine. Just cause it works for you on your system doesn't mean it's going to work for Joe on his system. There are just too many different hardware/software configurations to simply state, "it works for me, if it doesn't for you, you're an idiot basically."
I've been using HB for quite awhile and am one of the people that rarely complain about anything and have been very satisifed overall. But no, I would disagree that the latest version is more stable than 4620. I could run 4620 for hours with no issues...and I still can with the latest release using Gatherbuddy2. However, I've tried running the quest bot using both Kick's Deepholme questing, and TWLion's Twilight Horde profiles and I've seen nav errors, random shut downs, etc. And I promise you, I'm pretty good at diagnosing and fixing my own problems.
2) Things change. Look at the chance from Windows XP to Vista.
- Vista was HORRIBLE compared to XP, and talk about a memory hog...
Agreed-but there are people still running XP, Vista, and Win 7-which is 90% the point I was trying to make in Line 1.
3) Developers do just that, they DEVELOP.
- New stuff comes out and the old stuff isn't updated. 4.2 just came out for WoW. WTF? I liked 4.1 WAY BETTER!!! Lets all go on the forums and ask why the fuck Blizzard discontinued 4.1 and FORCED ME to upgrade to 4.2.
Just seems to me a better use of DEV time would be to perfect the stuff that has already been implemented before trying to add new features. And really, the GUI we had was working. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Especially when that time could be used to work on things that aren't working 100%. And personally speaking, I am not a big fan of the new GUI.
