The idea came to me when considering my first request for the blacksmith on the Travelers Tundra Mammoth.

A plugin that will scan the items in your bag, take a snap shot so to speak and produce its safe item list when you tell it to. Many of us farm with empty bags, but for those of us who do not, it would be invaluable to have this plugin capable of recognizing everything you start your grind with and to automatically protect it.

I requested this because I've had some experience with the item removers and they along with the standard bot vendor mechanics like to remove some of my items I use for enchanting or for raid, and I usually find they are missing right when I need them. I am hoping I am not the only person who finds that frustrating and perhaps something will come of this =p

i wouldnt mind adding this feature to Mr.ItemRemover but you gotta be more clear about what you want.

as far as it removing stuff without you knowing, Mr.ItemRemover only removes things that are on the list, nothing more, nothing less.

I guess to be more concise, I would love to have a button "Capture Inventory" That will start by deleting "list.txt" (example) then scan your bags for all the items in them, then add any that are not currently listed to a *new* "list.txt" Then when it goes to empty your bags it will remove everything except for items you hand put into your protected list, ones pushed in by profiles, and the list.txt you created of your consumables, glyphs, raid gear, pvp gear, quest items, cloths and whatnot.

So basically each capture creates a new list.txt and deletes the old one to prevent mergers with old lists due to redundancies and the fact that some of the items if they were on a universal list are not items you want to save on every character or even the same character at all times.

I hope this clears up my hopes and dreams.

after i take out "consumables, glyphs, raid gear, pvp gear, quest items, cloths and whatnot" what the heck is suppose to be left? it would seem to me if i took out all those things then on most toons im left with a list of nothing.

im sorry if im making this inadvertently confusing :(

The goal is for the plugin to capture everything you currently have in your inventory pre-farming. All the items it captures (which is up to you what you leave in your bags) becomes safe items, and everything else you pick up unless otherwise stated will be removed or vendored. For instance right now I am hunting for a boe companion. I am looting everything I find, and I've picked up roughly 60 different items, with varying names low level greens and other garbage.

If this worked as I imagined, the items I began farming with (roughly 30 bag slots worth), would be safe from removal where everything else I picked up would be deleted except for the boe pet which the profile put on the HB protected item's list.

The part I added about it making a fresh list every time you clicked it would mean that lets say for instance my mage has Light Feather's in his inventory, those would be protected by the snap shot pre-farming as a slowfall reagent. But say I used the same plugin on my rogue I would not want it to save those, so when I captured the inventory on my rogue it would create a new list completely overwriting the old one for my mage.

It's late and I apologize once again for the poor wording, last thing I wanna do is piss you off =p I love Amplify and am starting to use Zerfall :(

I think I understand disarm.
I think the default protected list in HB is way too long and is keeping stuff I don't want to keep. So I usually clean it up and when I start botting on a char, I need to check out my bags which items I want added to my protected list.
If a plugin could just add all the items that are currently in my bag to be protected, it'd make that a good part easier.
I second this idea.
