Ok so, I'm about to just level this guy to 25 myself and then restart the bot from there. This is insane.

Right outside of splintertree post, there is a Raging Ancient (Elite) which my toon loves to fight every chance it gets.

I followed this: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/support-issues/15354-keeps-targeting-mob-avoid-list.html

What frustrates me is, yeah ok I can understand that avoiding specific mob (dynamic blackspots) is very difficult to do code wise, but I have made 2 actual black spots right over where the raging ancient stands (manually putting the blackspots into the actual xml,) yet my toon, after rezzing, still walks right up to the fucker, gets targeted, tries to defend itself and dies.

So despite the fact that there are 2 blackspots with 30y radius's over this Raging Ancient(intersecting one another) in addition HB is trying to "avoid" the raging ancient and despite the fact that the toon is programmed to flee from fights it clearly cannot win, honorbuddy sends my toon right up to the raging ancient, almost every time.

Is there anything that can be done?
I'm using
http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/classes/druid/28311-fpsware-druid-version-4-a.html

and

http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...stern-kingdoms-outland-all-races-classes.html

Restarting HB seems to fix it, but unless I do that, it's hours of senseless idiotic suicide. My fear is that it's very easy to tell if someone is a bot by watching this.

i had this problem too

no matter what i have changed the problem was always there

i closed my monitor :p

AvoidMob just says to not attack it. The bot will defend itself (and get itself killed)
Blackspots don't black out the area. Simply make it less desirable, if it thinks its too much work to walk around it, it will go through it.

Its a fault of the profile, your CC is fine.

Use a different profile or just help it every, single, time I tries to enter / leave that outpost.

Well that's ridiculous that something like HB costs money when it has such a common, reoccurring issue. Maybe it's a problem with the profile... it's in the "tested profiles" forum yet clearly, there wasn't enough testing done or the author of the profile has not ever updated the profile.

Can anyone recommend me another leveling profile that does not have this issue?

EDIT: Just saw your post liferose. No I understand why Avoidmob doesn't really work well. I didn't know that about the blackspots though. That's really silly. HB should have a feature that forces the bot NOT to enter certain areas. It's illogical that it does not have this feature.

Can you recommend me a profile that does not have this issue?

Does this happen anywhere else in the game? I didn't buy HB to watch it lol.

1st. You bought the bought, you did not buy a profile to come with it, Its a fault of the profile maker's design and not the bot, the processing it would take for the bot to figure out how to avoid the mob is extremely large, rather than just not making your profile go near there.

I do not know of a profile that doesn't go through there, I haven't looked.

To my understanding if you blackspot it many times it will not use the area.. as it makes it "less desired" the more times you blackspot it. Why a blackspot doesn't actually black out the spot is beyond me. There is probably some more logical explanation or you would assume its much more simpler to just say not go there in coding rather than less desired.

Well that's my point. HB should have both features, as I think that would be a bandaid solution to the fault of the profile. Not to mention that feature could come in handy elsewhere in the game as well.

I'll try layering the black spots though.

Hang on a while. We'll have a release for Ashenvale soon ;).

Layering blackspots DOES not solve the issue. Still walks right through em.
