This is a repost of this thread:
http://www.thebuddyforum.com/suppor...ntly-downloading-loading-updating-meshes.html

Now i'll try to explain it a little better this time since i've been able to watch it more closely.

Basically what happens from a fresh install:

Say there are 3 points, A B and C. They are all in a straight line. If the bot has to go from point A to B it will download/Load the meshes just fine. But later on if it has to go from A to C(Going through B) it will download/Load/Update all meshes(as far as i can tell) from point A to B then Download/Load from B to C. This may not cause much of a problem at first, but as the mesh folder becomes more populated the problem gets exponentially worse.

As you can see in my log it often Download/Load/Update the meshes until it gets to the mesh its missing and will then just Download/Load the new mesh. if i watch my Mesh folder as this happens the file count will only increase by 1 or 2(depending on what new meshes it needs). This just doesn't seem right to me, especially when you look at my log and see that it did this process for over 40 minutes while running AB.

To test it a little further i did a search in the log file for "Downloaded Kalimdor_31_25", it appeared 7 times which seems very redundant to me.

Things i have tried:
Fresh install on desktop
Fresh install off desktop
Fresh install on different partition

New mesh folder in a directory on and off of the desktop as well as on a different partition.

I'm assuming this isn't working as intended, is there anything else i can try to fix this?

Edit:

Hmm, i've booted up on a different partition with Win Xp(i was using Win7) to see if this fixed the problem, which it did. Instead of download/load/update it just loaded all the ones i already had then went on downloading new ones. I have no idea whats different between the two instillations that would cause this, hopefully somebody knows =)

Its your internet speed. It varies with everyone, allow it to download that area, and if your leveling well you'll just have to wait til they all tally up and you wont need to download, you'll only load the path. Also QQ MOAR

Not sure how much QQ there was, i was being thorough in my explanation.

The problem isn't downloading the mesh(My download speed is consistently above 20mb and has hit around 40mb down), the problem is that it re-downloads(as far as i can see) every mesh file for the path(even if it has 20/21 of them) instead of the 1 it doesn't have.

Also if you had read my entire post you would have seen me say that it downloads/loads/updates the same mesh file 7 times.

There is no need to be a dick! You didn't read his post properly, or choose to ignore it and give your uneducated reply. I doubt you even looked at his log file which clearly indicates the problem he described. Its not about "QQ"ing, its about getting support for a product you have PAID for.

After looking through the log file I can see it appears to download the same mesh file a number of times. When its downloading / updating mesh files have a look on the Navigation Log tab and see if it gives any additional information about the specific mesh file. Such as "no data for mesh xzy" or something like that.

All that is displayed in there is in the log. I haven't seen anything besides the download/loading/updating spam.

I have it working smoothly on another operating system(same hard drive different partition). It works fine when it has created its own mesh folder, but when i copied the populated mesh folder from my other partition(the one with the problem) into my desktop HB directory(non-problem partition) it did the same thing(Download/Loading/updating)... its really perplexing 0.o

your D disk is an external drive or something?

I have two hard drives in Raid 0 configuration. I have 2 partitions on this Raid 0 config. On my Windows 7 partition i have the issue described above. While on my Win7 partition i have tried HB instillations/Mesh folders in all sorts of ways(HB/Mesh on win 7 partition, HB/Mesh on other partition(Windows xp), HB on one mesh on the other vice versa). When i boot up my other partition(Which is Windows XP) the problem goes away... However what i found to be weird is that if i point HB(which is running on XP) to a mesh folder on my Win7 partition the problem occurs, what i found to be even weirder is if i copy the mesh folder from my Win7 partition to my WinXP partition the problem also occurs.

I'm thinking this is just a really really obscure problem that has very specific circumstances, if i or someone else can't figure it out i'll just have to use my WinXP partition =(
