Hi, I am considering starting to bot on PoE. I have some questions before I do.

1. I've been told it is easily detectable and easy to get banned, I accept this risk as it will be a seperate account and I have botted on many other games. Is it that easy to get banned or was this a scare tatic?

2. How far thru the game can exiled bot progress on its own, I've seen conflicting reports saying anywhere from act 2 to act 10, What is the truth?

3. When GGG bans, do they ban my IP as well?

4. How well does this bot function? (assuming I set things up right will I have issues with it playing while I'm AFK.)

5. Can any build be used with this bot

6. I see there is a pickit for this bot is it easy to edit myself?

7. Can this bot just run maps or can it kill end game bosses as well.
 
1) If you don't know what you're doing you'll easily get banned.
2) This is the ExileBuddy forum, not Exiled Bot. ExileBuddy can progress from ac1 to act10.
3) Yes.
4) You should read the guideline threads. They cover all functionaltiy the bot offers.
5) With the base bot and base routine you can play basic builds. If you want to play something fancy or more complex you will need a customized routine. Though the API is open and ready for basically everything.
6) Again, this is not Exiled Bot. We don't have "Pickits" here. Though there is a base itemfilter with the bot that can be edited relatively easy. As well there is advanced item filters made by the community. Though you might need to find them since they're not published on this forum.
7) maps yes - endgame bosses yes, if your build is strong enough to facetank.
 
I stand behind everything DontBeAfraid said but let me emphasize something...You will not last long botting or on this forum without doing A LOT of your own research and reading A LOT of older forum posts. Literally 30% of all the gems here need some digging to find.

Comparing this bot to exiled bot is literally like comparing a bicycle with flat tires to a Ferrari. Both may be able to transport you from A to B but the bike (Exiled bot) will be clumsy, frustrating and slow, whereas the Ferrari (Exilebuddy) will get you there much faster and more fun but if you aren't careful you can crash. in this case crashing is getting banned. I have used both extensively and the only reason I can see, that you would use Exiled bot, is either because you are poverty stricken or like sucking Alcpone's dick.

For me, I bot smart (8-12 hours max a day, trade on the accounts for gear, etc) and have been botting this game for 3 years straight without any warnings or bans. For you I would recommend reading all the guides the devs have made specifically to get you up to speed. Also there are great forum posts all over that answer questions you have right now. just do a little digging.

PS. the community is unforgiving if you ask questions that have been answered before so keep that in mind and dont get too offended

sorry i didnt mean to compare this to exile bot, i just copy and pasted the same shit on their forums
the response i got there was poor as well.
seems ill be going with exile buddy

To give you an idea I am still learning new things every day and finding plugins people made that I didn't know existed. And this is after 3+ years so expect to be learning for a long time :) But luckily you don't have to know half as much as I do (and i still ask for help sometimes) in order to get started and kick ass.

I botted all the way to lvl 100 a couple leagues ago and have 2 lvl 91 chars in the flashback league so far. going to get them both to 95 within the next couple days.

PS: start with a TANKY build to get the hang of things then fine tune for the glass cannon builds

alright, i purchased my sub gunna try it out for my first month :P
hopefully i can figure it out and shit haha
going to start it on a new acct with a lvl 1 and see what happens

i have those to saved and read thru them so far.
So far I got all of alcors plugins as well as AIF with someone's custom filter.
I've got my auto passive tree going and the bot is running great.
I have auto equip working as well
I been searching for a way to socket new gems for my build as it self progresses thru the game. Is there a way to do this?

also, i am trying to figure out which AIF is the lastest version (atm I have 3.0)

If there isnt, which way would be better to do
sandboxie with proxies
or
vm's with vpn/proxies

EquipHelper KINDA does this for you only if the new item has the same or more sockets and the right colors. (no there is nothing else i know of but like i said if you find anything let everyone know)

I am using 3.0.0.3 not sure what others are using but i haven't noticed any issues with mine

I don't but if you want to that is fine I dont see a reason not to if you have access to it.

If I'm not mistaken you cannot discuss proxies/vpns on these forums. I have seen people get slapped for opening threads about it. I assume it's because EB doesnt support and doesnt want to deal with people saying you recommended X proxi and i got banned QQ QQ QQ

I can tell you that I use a well known vpn on my alt account and it's been fine
 
If u dont have self played old account - u are fucked. U will get banned non stop. Buying others is not an option, as GGG track ip and email changes of account. So good luck out there. This league was the most terrible for poe botters, check Pushdex messages, even he admited that GGG went crazy banning accounts. I mean, core exilebuddy developer wont fear ppl just for fun. Atm poe has more bans then even wow had when honorbuddy was busted.
 
Well I can say that i have a 30% hand played "main" account with all my mtx and a 0% hand played alt account (i have bought maybe $20 of points for the fragment and currency pages though) and I have literally had 0 problems. I have them on VERY loose 8-12 hour shifts that i switch back and forth on. This is 24-7 365. So really I just make them look like no life friends who share gear. And this is after 3+ years.

So I guess the moral of the story is you just have to be careful.
