[How to] eAuction - Setup - yes! it will run :)

Hi,


I read alot of requests how to bring eAuction to run and I did alot of research to get it to run.

This is my first „how to“ so any comments or ideas are welcome :)


Today, Bossland confirmed, that eAuction will be able to use for Lifetimer's and paid plugin key's with the latest release of HB. I can confirm, it runs very well :)


Here is an small To-Do list to get eAuction run:


First steps:


1.: you need to be an Lifetimer or have an paid Plugin-Key


2.: you have the latest HB Release


3.: all Addons must be disabeled on your WoW Account


4.: you will need an clean mailbox, nothing should be in there, eAuction won't take mailed items out of it ( I don't know if this is an bug or not )


5.: your bank char should have all rights on use of your guildbank




How to configure HB with the eAuction plugin:


1.: log in in your WoW account and start HB


2.: set HB to "DoNothing!" or "Grind Bot" (one of them should work) and load an empty profile – the BG profiles would work also :)


3.: enable the eAuction plugin


4.: configure the eAuction plugin like on the screenshots I had attached

5.: bring your character to Orgrimmar or Stormwind


6.: hit the „Start“ button on HB and see your charakter doing the auctions for you! ;)


Hope this also helps you to get your auctions automated.

Update 10. March '11: Added an sample Config on this thread. Simply but it in .../HB/plugins/...

Update 16. March '11: added a new config file, which cover almost everything you want to sell on the AH. All credits for this new CNF goes to Bengan12, who had done all work on it :)

How long did you let it run? I mean, you won't see on screen, that it is scanning for something.
I can highly recommend an clean fresh install of HB, maybe a 2nd folder like HB_Auction and then set it up like on the pictures above.
Hit run and let it for 6 minutes alone ^^
 
I wish this worked for GB1 somehow, sure is a bitch doing the shit on my own, maybe ill have to mess with gb2 again ;/ the new relogger doesnt seem as fast as catching disconnected accounts as the old one, which didnt work w/ hb anyway.

Do you really think this works efficiently? What if auctions expire and you have like 300 stacks, then what, if the bot is set at 150 stacks max, and you probably pull in 150 a day then that leaves xtra left over.. and you said it wont take items out of the mailbox?

Doesnt seem like completely automated and might need some babysitting.

And what about private buyers for my herbs? Hmmph, seems I'll be stuck doing auctions myself.

This min/max means, how much stacks it will post per cycle not per day. it will post items until all had been sold.

Ignore size stacks means, if you have 300 stacks and 40 set to ignore it will post 260 stacks over time and will left you 40 in guild bank.

eAuction will also take mails of not sold auctions, but don't take mails of other items which are mailed by another char.
 
Tks for your post Glidfever + rep for that and making it plain and straightforward. eAuction does work now and this is just AAAAAWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEE!

2 problem tho: one regarding eAuction: It only goes through 1 page of mail. devs ( Erenion?) could you set it to go through all the mails ? Like limit at 250 ?

Second problem is that it is slow and that by hand I am much faster oc. So I need a perfect relogger? Erenion's works now ?
 
It will go through all pages of your inbox - but you won't see it ^^

I spended so much time in trying and set up this automated relogger, but I had given up ...

dont work for me, just tried clean install and followed the guide step by step. I open AH but just do nothing
 
ok I tried sending a pm to Bossland but his pm box is full ... strangely:p

so here it is and hope you read it and tony please forward this demand to boss ^^

DoNothing doesn't work for me - grind bot is ok, now eA does what it's supposed.
 
What is actually eAuction doing? Farming money through AH or just posts your items on AH from your farm bot or w/e?

Ok, great to know :) Mine didn't work with "grind bot" - I had it added on 1st page.

Yes, it took your items out of guildbank and put them on the AH for your defined prices.

Hmm, my char ignore my Cinderblooms. I have configured it like this:

Min price: 30g -- Max price: 150g -- Min stacks: 1 -- Max stacks: 100 -- Stack size: 20 -- stack size to ignore: 0
Lowest price on AH is 39g.

I configured it to put in 50 stacks elementium ore aswell but only 18 stacks was putted in AH.
Any advice?
 
Lawa, I won't recommend to flood AH with so much stuff.
It's absolutly better to post an smaller amount of stacks, if you had run your bot in 6min cycles.
I recognized, that people going to buy from person with small stacks on AH instead of people which almost have 3 pages of auctions of one kind.
 
Streamed plugin authentication seems to be down - eAuction isn't working atm.
may some dev take a look into it pls?

Yah the relogger works alright but could use a little it of work. what i would like to see personally added to the relogger is a "MASTER SELLER" option. I have a dedicated account that i use for auctioning on multiple servers. the relogger however thinks there multiple accounts on multiple servers and keeps disconnecting itself trying to login the same account on 2 servers. a rotation between servers would be really nice.
