Why bother banning someone for 18 months? might as well make it perma since this fucking game will be dead in 18 months..
Even 6 months completely ruins the expansion for me. I am going to call my CC company tomorrow when my appeal gets denied and request my funds back for all the purchases I made.

Because people claim WoW would be dead in the next 18 months for X-th time.
But the truth is, I am waiting several accounts to get lifted from 18months suspension in just a few months
Aka, already banned for 6 months in may 2015, then for another 18 months in dec 2015, so they would be ready for botting soon™.On more serious note - Wow would not "die alone".
It could die only in 2 ways - either if Blizzard decide to abandon it, but they would not do it soon, or if another game studio made better game, which is even harder than the first one. At least I see no such in the near future.
Have seen too much WoW-Killers trampled in the dust in the last 10 years ...

I think the temporary bans are to deter people from disputing refunds.
But now that people have multiple multiple temps bans and honorbuddy without a doubt now is 100% detectable.
I think buying an account botting for a short period then getting a refund will be the new norm.
