Some people say its a flag before ban. So its "harder" es a soft ban, but not hard ban yet.

Is there something i should/shouldn't do to prevent the permanent ban? If i wait the full 12 hours as it suggests, do you think i'll be o.k.?

^ wait the full 12hours. You can't avoid a ban. If you get banned you get banend. lol The best advice i can say is just stop botting for the next 12-24hours
