You can optimize your settings better, but ultimately it's just a bot. It will make mistakes.
Sometimes the bot does stupid shit. Only way around it is to get more toughness, really.

The default settings of trinity are for some reason wrong.
You need to put health pct to 100 and distance to at least 1.0

This is true, the defaults should be fixed in next build, in the meantime you can click the 'select defaults' button top right in the avoidance tab or 'select all' to avoid dragging each slider manually.
