Im using the firebird/chantodo build.

Getting a lot more consistent finishes with it.

With twister its pretty dependent on where the twisters go with archon its just beam smash beam smash
 
how to use cyclone strike more often??

recast delay: 0ms
cyclone strike cluster: 0

but often in my 4man group he isn´t using cyclone strike

GRift 72 in 8 Minutes, ~100+bil XP/hr
Clears 75+ but with lots of deaths on WD, some on Monk/Wizard
Might try running no support barb and see how it does


Few notes:
Bane of the stricken is to be used if your slowdowns are on the Rift Guardian.
Bane of the Powerful is better than Bane of the Stricken if you need to 15% Elite Damage Reduction (IE You're dying too much).
One group member has to use IceBlink with a cold skill on their bar.
One group member needs to wear Nemesis bracers and have Shrines turned on, all other members have shrines turned off.
One group member has to use Gem of Efficacious Toxin.
You're more likely to have toughness limitations than DPS limitations in GRifts over 60+.
Use Esoteric Alteration as needed (It's an easy swap out for Taeguk on WD for example since the bot doesn't channel FireBats for long anyways)


IK Support Barb (Leader)

  • [*=1]Using IK Set instead of typical Raekor's because Furous Charge will run all over the map and leave party to fend for itself.
    [*=1]IK Set keeps Call of The Ancients up 100%, gives some cooldown to WoTB.

Settings:
Advanced > TPS Modification set to 30
Avoidance is set to default items:
Health Percent for everything but Molten set to 30% Health.
Molten set to 100% health.

Leader and followers are all set to the same combat settings:
  • 100 yard elite range
  • 70 yard trash range
  • 6 trash mobs in 40 yard cluster
  • All set to Ignore shrines other than ZDPS Monk that is wearing nemesis bracers.
  • Extend combat range and force kill summoners off
  • Kite after revive off

My biggest issue is keeping my WD alive in higher GRifts.

GRift 70 with my WD alive most of the time, it smashes Rift Guardians so fast even without a Bane of the Stricken on that it's comical. They are faster to kill then some elites.

However, I have had to make a lot of group changes to keep it alive:

  • On WD, I am dropping off BBV for Spirit Walk, Creeping death passive to Spirit vessel, dropping Taeguk for Esoteric Alteration
  • Barb's Threatening Shout rune changed to Demoralize to taunt enemies to attack the barb instead of followers
  • Wizard Blackhole Rune changed to Spell Steal for the damage debuff
  • Monk Dashing Strike to Cyclone Strike with Wall of Wind rune for the freeze

Now it's not dying much, but my clear times are about a minute longer.

Unfortunately I know it's still faster then dropping my LTK monk for a support monk. And my IK/Raekors barb doesn't do nearly the damage that my LTK monk does. so going support monk is not > Support barb for my current support setups.

Anyone have better group compositions out there?

Also i'm currently using your Firebats build. I'm watching the bot and it seems that it doesn't use FB all the time. Just stands in the middle of everything and casts haunt and locust over and over again. No bats.....:(

I think it's pointless to be honest. I doubt anyone would care to really look at it.

Doesnt seem to be any interest in 4 man groups on the forums anymore or you would see more outcry and posted fixes for the things that aren't working. I see them clear as day but can only do so much.

After already spending about 2 weeks staring at the bot for 10-15 hours a day, testing and changing. changing and testing I am aware of a handful of things:


  • There are a few flaws with DB/Trinity/AutoFollow that I am not qualified to fix which make group botting extremely inconsistent.
  • Literally same settings, same bot, same gear will clear GRIFT 75s in 6-7 minutes but other times cant finish 70s in 15 minutes. Will manually play as a DPS character in the same group and do 85s in 7-8 minutes.
    • Best seasonal groups in world are getting close to GRift 110. Botting should be able to get us at least close to 85/90 with similar gear. I have GG geared Wizards, WDs, Monks, Barbs. Can't consistently do 75 with bot.
  • Fixes seem simple to say, probably not so easy to fix:
    • properly cycle/cast/channel skills for DPS builds...
    • Bots stack on top of each other to DPS...
    • Find a proper place within mobs to DPS rather than standing on the side...
    • Actually stay together when not DPSing...
    • Properly use combat when needed when trying to catch up to leader.
    • Regrouping after death instead of running back in to die without casting anything...
      • Group continues running instead of coming back to wait for player to arrive. When player revives, it tries to catch up and dies again. and again. and again.
      • This is often because it does not cycle combat when catching up at all. Blindly runs through mobs.
      • Should have something in autofollow that see a player has died and wait for it so it's not lost for the rest of the GRift
    • Mob settings that work all of the time rather than when bot feels like it...
      • All 4 bots attacking a single trash mob with nothing else in 150 yards? Why?
    • Avoidance that avoids rather than kite until death (casting skills and DPSing helps to keep you alive, kiting doesn't accomplish that)...
    • Proper handling of ZDPS character skills and rotations...
    • Knowing when to stick around and DPS rather than move and die...
    • Broken Revive function in group...
      • It never let's the revive complete even if there are no enemies within trash/elite range.
      • When it doesnt try to revive you, it runs off to china like it doesnt need you in the group
      • Once a certain distance away, the character will never catch up and cannot teleport to leader in GRifts so it will endlessly die for the rest of GRift.
    • Thunderstorm Avoidance is broken (always on 100% regardless of how you set it)
      • There might be others but I am done testing it
    • During GRifts, leader doesn't wait for group to finish town run. I have manually fixed this as the code was already in trinity, just made some small changes to activate it. If you don't run these changes, you're missing out on a massive amount of gear.
    • Having to repair during a GRift = certain doom as bot doesn't try to clear area and group doesn't come to your aide so you will often die over and over and over.

  • No point in testing anymore until those flaws are fixed as the variances in clear times have more to do with bot behavior/bugs that gear/settings.

  • All that I can do is report bugs I see, ask for features and until then I am probably going to stop botting or playing Diablo.

Ironically, my bot JUST failed to complete the last 2 rifts that it played at 75.
  • Next rift as I started writing this: it took down an RG @ level 75 in 7 seconds, completing the rift in 6:11.
  • After joining another GRift 75, it's more that double where the timer is in the next rift with 12:30 left on the timer.
  • It just completed that rift in 6:42
  • The new GRift it's in is at 11 minutes remaining and it's halfway behind the timer. The ZDPS monk is not attacking or spamming it's skills and one of the DPS characters is locked in a death cycle way back towards the start of the map.
  • There is now 5 minutes left in the GRift, it's about half of where the timer is at. ZDPS monk is being an idiot.
  • GRift failed. Closed and opened all bots.
  • Started a new GRift 75 they are almost done.
  • GRift complete in 7:16

Just cannot reconcile the variances.

I had no idea what I was doing and so the newness of doing it kept me quite happy with how it was working.
Now that the newness has worn off, I am noticing more and more of the little annoying problems that you addressed above.
Every now and then it blows me away how seamless they all work together, but most of the time they do not...
I have totally enjoyed reading your posts and making the changes that you have suggested.
So I just want to say thank you for all the informative posts.
It would be awesome if more people who know how to solve some of these issues shared info on how to do it like you do.

I am currently testing this build:
Diablo III Character Planner
The test part was taking off the Band of Rue Chambers for a RRoG in the cube so that I could test out the Frostburn gloves.
Normally this is my go to Monk ZDPS build except Band of Rue Chambers in Cube and Innas Hold Gloves.

Benefit of this build is the Stunlock on the sledgefist and the freezelock on enemies under 20% life with the eun jang do.

This is the Rogue/Slanderer version that I used to use:

Keep in mind that I have Vitality Caldesann's on all my ancient gear. I also didnt feel like assigning my paragon points, I normally put everything into Vitality except what is needed for movement speed.

I am currently testing this build:
Diablo III Character Planner
The test part was taking off the Band of Rue Chambers for a RRoG in the cube so that I could test out the Frostburn gloves.
Normally this is my go to Monk ZDPS build except Band of Rue Chambers in Cube and Innas Hold Gloves.

Benefit of this build is the Stunlock on the sledgefist and the freezelock on enemies under 20% life with the eun jang do.
