Is there a way to only farm materials?

I'm running low on all materials, and I was wondering if we could make it so the bot picks up all yellows, blues, and whites and decrafts them without killing 30 mobs then picking up one. I just want to get materials fast.

Gear up a speed build, turn on chests and weapon racks in your object settings. Turn your trash mob setting higher to skip small groups if your gearing and character will support that. There are guides in the Guides section to help you with optimal Trinity settings and such.

For an example, 24 hour day of normal grifts on a One Punch monk nets me 10000-15000 death's breath and about 50000 yellow materials. I usually have somewhere in the range of 15000 blue and 20000 white materials as well.

Then I setup the "convert materials" in Demonbuddy. Calculate what you need to get all of them even, I will explain this below... Once you get this setup, you can just let the bot play and it will even up your materials as it's going.

Or you can do this semi-manually:

Turn on the crafting material you want in the conversion settings of Trinity.
Hit STOP on the bot,
Go to Blacksmith,
Craft a batch of blue items (I usually just do 25 because it's easy to keep track of how many stacks you have made. No, the item type does not matter),
Hit START on the bot,
It should go convert your items along with yellow materials to blue.
Hit STOP on the bot,
Go to Blacksmith,
Craft more blues,
Hit START,
Rinse and Repeat as needed.

You can do this with white items as well:

Hit STOP on bot,
Take the Fields of Misery Waypoint,
Go find the merchant in the hut in the North East corner (Doesn't spawn in every instance, you might have to try a couple times),
When the doorway is already lit up in orange, you know she is in there,
Go inside,
Buy White Items,
TP back to town
Convert whites in the same way that you converted blues by hitting START on the bot and letting it do it's thing,
Hit STOP on the bot,
Take your portal back to the shack,
Buy more white items,
TP back to town,
Hit START on the bot,
Rinse and repeat.

Are you talking about converting crafting materials?

Yes, you can automate this using DemonBuddy.
Main Window > Plugin tab > select Trinity > click Config button

Choose the Items tab > Kanai's Cube tab > look for the CONVERT CRAFTING MATERIAL'S section
"During a town run Trinity can convert non-legendary items into crating materials.
When you have less than the amount selected below, the bot will start creating more of it,
consuming your highest [quantity] crafting material in the process."

Keep in mind some simple math when you set the slider: (Y+B+W)/3=where to set the slider
(Yellow + Blue + White) divided by three will equal the average quantity.

If your material counts looked like this:

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
15000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
15000

White [Reusable Parts]
6000

15000+15000+6000=36000
36000/3=12000
I would select "Reusable Parts" and then the slider to about 12000.

However, you do not want to set it significantly higher then your middle material

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
14000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
7000

White [Reusable Parts]
1000

22000/3=~7300
I would select "Reusable Parts" and then the slider to 7000 [Amount of Blue material].

If you set it to 7300, you would end up with 6850 Yellow and Blue.

Need both Blue and White materials?

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
30000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
4000

White [Reusable Parts]
2000

36000/3=12000
I would select both Blue and White crafting materials for conversion
Set the slider to 12000.

Remember to pay attention when using your materials and re-apply the formula or turn the conversion off, otherwise you might end up with 0 of a non-selected crafting material.
Example: Conversion set to 12000, you have used enough materials to where they are all around 6000, then you will eventually end up with 0 yellow and 9000 blue and white.

You can also increase your white count item pickup by turning on "Weapon Racks" in the object settings.

Great response i was sceptical of the converting of items. What i was doing earlyer before server went down was testing what i could fit in my bags before needing to force town run to make space.

Whites( cause i need em)
Yellows ( Rings only)
Blues i turned on collect all blues ( Because when you do speed runs you get a ton of blood shards that get spent and u get a ton of yellows so i dont really need to pick those up but u dont get barely any blues )

Im def going to give the gambling part of trinty a try now after reading this.

I have a question, If i have all 3 checked and then set it to 5000 will it keep a even 5k atleast of each mat?

With gambling, elite kills, rift guardians, etc... You will amost always end up with a lot more yellow crafting materials.

If you have "Open Weapon Racks" selected along with chests, you will typically have more whites than blues, but only by about 20-30%.

Therefore, you typically do not need the bot to craft yellows if it's the material you're always overstocked in.

Theoretically, you could end up creating some issues where they are all at a level that confuses the bot or causes it to convert to one material, then back into the original material, effectively wasting Death's Breath. I haven't seen it, but then again, I don't turn on yellow material because I am always swimming in them.

nvm i found it. have to do several tries for white items to appear. thanks

Awesome, finding out that I could do it via that method was a lifesaver for me.

Someone could probably write a profile for it to do this auto-magically, but it's really a waste of time when it's so simple to do by hand.

thanks for a+ Responses, i learned it the hard way running it about 20 times before i figured out this is a complete waste of time/DB's and it was getting no where, the best thing is what u said ( During a normal rift i can fit all whites even the heavy white item lvls Plus all blues and ancients/set items only about 10% do i do a town run)

so ill save up whites and convert em :D

i relized it after i looked at the math

Whites can break down for 3-8ish+ mats i think even more
blues break down from 2-4 maybe 5?
i only ever seen yellows break down into one.
