Windows 8.1 Issue

Just installed D3 and Demonbuddy on my laptop, Demonbuddy was installed using installer downloaded this afternoon. But after starting DB the only thing showing up is inside task manager, but the normal DB control panel does not show up.

Can anyone please give me some hints or walk through help on fixing this issue?

any antivirus enabled?

I originally had Windows Defender that came with Windows 8.1 on my laptop, but after installing D3 and DB on my laptop the problem of D3 not activating the correct way made me take a chance to switched to Kaspersky as it is on my PC and while with Windows 7, D3 and DB works flawlessly. but even with Kaspersky installed on Windows 8.1 it did not help on DB starting issue.

I can see DB running on the Task Manager list, but the main control screen of DB will not show up. While on Kaspersky, i can see DB changing file name and i change the authorization to have DB exempt, the next file name change to put it back on the watch list.
 
remove:

- microsoft visual c++ 2005-2015 x86 redistributable



restart your pc,
download the installationwizard http://updates.buddyauth.com/BuddyWizard.zip
run them as administrator.
after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
restart
