From the sticky:

You might notice that our bots will be renaming themselves after they have launched. This is done for security
measures and shouldn't affect your daily usage.

I have been renaming the exe file for as long as I can remember, but you cannot change what shows as demonbuddy in the task list, will this be addressed as well?

wait wait wait....let me see if I understand the situation... Warden detect's evrething from now on.....so lets just rename the bot....this way warden will find "mary" injecting something on my d3....

What's the point?

Well, I actually thought that my self.. But ive been doing that of late.. And ive missed the last 2 ban waves from HB..

Now I'm not claiming that's the reason.. but hell I'm going to do it from now on.

This is the point

No matter what you rename the demonbuddy.exe file to, it always shows up in the tasklist as Demonbuddy. Since the DB team is making these changes I would assume that the new warden is now seeing what is in the process list.

Sorry, but that's a wrong assumption.
The renaming is not as straightforward as just changing the name of the file. If you did this before you were not safer than anyone else, and you're not safer if you do it now.
The way the safety is achieved is not visible in the way you are looking at it.

I actually used a process h1der as well so even the OS could not see it. My question is, will it still show up by default in the process list, or is it hidden now?

It renames file name, but not process list name, like warden uses fucking windows search to find demonbuddy.exe and not scaning process list. We all will be banned.

Warden isn't scanning your process list. lol It's far more complicated than that. Trust the devs.

Are we supposed to see a different name somewhere? Cause i see clearly the demonbuddy name in the folders and the launcher and even at the running window

this is why i never come to the forum outside of events like tripwire. bunch of 14 y/o's pretending to be programmers with tin foil hats on. shut up and bot. you literally have no idea what your talking about and you know it

I would imagine Blizzard is not legally allowed to scan your Windows process list; it probably looks only at the process "names" which are involved with the D3 program, which of course would be intentionally obscured from the perception of their monitoring software (warden). Additionally, you shouldn't insult the developers intelligence like this. If this was an issue, don't you think the people who were smart enough to program an automated robot would have spotted it?

Its not an issue, don't rename things, trust the developers' instructions. :)

I agree with fisher simple don't change things you have no idea about:) i am just wandering if we are supposed to witness any name changes anywhere or its smt that its happening in the backround because anything visual to me was named db.

Blizzard aren't allowed to see what u have running in your process list, if they do so, you should file a report on them.
