Hey guys, just wanted to ask the community, what do you find to be the best way with settings, to farm crafting materials? I always seem to be over stocked on death's breaths, and always low on the other materials. Yeah I am a noob, and I am sure I am doing something wrong, so thats why I ask you guys!

I assume the best way, is to have all options ticked on things to pick up, even follower crap. Run Rifts all the way until it finds the end teleporter thing that takes me back to town. Rinse and repeat. I've read where theres an option to have the bot even out crafting materials. I've never messed with this before? I'm just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong, I have 7K death's breath..yet always run out of all the other mats to ever do mass crafting. Just trying to get ancients!!

If anyone has any advice, help, or tips, please share.

P.S. Thanks you!

P.P.S If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize.

The best way to get mats honestly, don't run a full rift. Run it to RG and close, Main reasoning is RG drops a random amount of craft mats, dust/crystals/parts each kill too. Aside from that, your second or maybe third biggest mat gains will be from running into Odious collectors or snagging puzzle rings(make sure if running itemlist, you pickup every puzzle ring so you can bot these later or even hand run. can find 1 or 2 odious every other vault on T10 thats 100+ ea mat basically per). Personally no matter what type of mats I need, I always make sure yellow weapons(armor too possibly) is UNCHECKED. Blue items drop a a lot less in rifts(frequently out of chests usually only) then rares dropping off random trash packs, elite/champs. This way your bot is not running back and forth around kills to loot up, and fill up quickly for what will be a minimum of 30-40 second town run to salvage. Obviously make sure you are using some sort of speed run class(pet WD using hexing/fierce loyalty manajuma set, or swiftmount LoN bombardment sader both good this season).

If you have plenty of DB, like more then you think you will ever use. Disable pickup on these, as in a T10 rift your getting 1-2 every elite pack kill which adds ~5 seconds average to the time to run back n forth to pick up. Set your misc trash size to 6 or 10 depending what you run this way your bot will mostly speed through the rift, only killing large clusters and elite/champs while opening chests etc. NEXT thing to do, Set gambling on to gamble 25bs items, if you need upgrades then choose those. Otherwise set it to gamble randomly chest/legs/arms/shoulders/boots/waist and so on. Most of these will be rares that turn to extra salvage mats. Considering you only have 7k DB it seems like your low on mats for another reason, something that doesn't take much DB or not at all. I would advise keeping DB pickup checked. Because 7k DB is very little if you plan on cubing upgrades or whatever. Just try and trust me when I say disabling rare weapon pickup and maybe even armor pickup can be FASTER to obtain veiled crystal then enabled due to down time on town runs.

Hope this helps, if anything else just ask.

I am really short of reusable part. All other mats are full and I don't need them. where can I find many reusable part?

The best way I've found to get mats, was to actually to the story line to act 5, and run the chest run profile, picking up all the whites you can find. Those salvage on average to like 6-10 per white? and will normally get half inventory and sometimes almost full inventory full in just a few minutes.. then convert the reusable part up to whichever mat you desire.. This seemed to have been alot faster for me, since at the time i did not need any dbs. 6-10 reusable parts per drop, vs 1 crystal per drop..

Maybe many guys have the same problem that death breaths are so many as you, of course including me. I lack the white material. So my solution is to tick the weapon stack in the pickup column (or somewhere i dont remember clearly), and we will get more white material in Nephalem rift. However the efficiency will probably be lower than before.

story line works great..its inside profiles go to

profiles->questing-> select "all acts relogger" start at act 1 and it will roll through them all

Lots of great suggestions here. I'll add my 2 cents.

What class are you using?

Find a good speed build for your character based on the gear you have available. There are some great guides in our forums, or you can search D3fans, IcyVeins, YouTube, etc.

The goal is to kill as much as you can in the least amount of time at the highest Torment level.

You're looking for a few basic things in your speed build:
Maximum DPS (one shot kill builds work best like 1 punch monk, etc)
Highest movement speed possible
Just enough survival ability to not die.

There are lots of useful synergies:
Using GoldWrap + Avarice Band + Boon of the Hoarder are great. It picks up gold and globes from half the screen away while making you invincible. It also gives you +30% movement speed. You also gain a ton of gold you can use later for empowered rifts.
Warzechian Armguards are a must if you're casting an AOE spell or you break objects a lot.
Wreath of Lightning gem gives you 25% movement speed during proc. Has a great synergy with Warzechian Armguards due to the proc breaking random objects around you.

If you have a movement skill that's cooldown based:
Use a piece of gear that changes your cooldown to a resource spender (Like Aether Walker)
Or a piece of gear that extends the movement spell (like Swiftmount)
What you will usually use is cooldown reduction on gear or an In-Geom.

Note: LoN builds can be particularly potent, but they require at least 7+ Ancient pieces to really be effective.

I would suggest Nephalem Rifts with pickup of all items selected. I like to have mine open Weapon Racks as it seems to keep my White material count higher than my Blue. I also love to pickup all of the yellows due to the material conversion build into Trinity.

Depending on your class and build, the Trinity settings are going to change.

And last but not least, here is some information on using the Trinity crafting material converter:

Main Window > Plugin tab > select Trinity > click Config button

Choose the Items tab > Kanai's Cube tab > look for the CONVERT CRAFTING MATERIAL'S section
"During a town run Trinity can convert non-legendary items into crating materials.
When you have less than the amount selected below, the bot will start creating more of it,
consuming your highest [quantity] crafting material in the process."

Keep in mind some simple math when you set the slider: (Y+B+W)/3=where to set the slider
(Yellow + Blue + White) divided by three will equal the average quantity.

If your material counts looked like this:

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
15000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
15000

White [Reusable Parts]
6000

15000+15000+6000=36000
36000/3=12000
I would select "Reusable Parts" and then the slider to about 12000.

However, you do not want to set it significantly higher then your middle material

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
14000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
7000

White [Reusable Parts]
1000

22000/3=~7300
I would select "Reusable Parts" and then the slider to 7000 [Amount of Blue material].

If you set it to 7300, you would end up with 6850 Yellow and Blue.

Need both Blue and White materials?

Yellow [Veiled Crystal]
30000

Blue [Arcane Dust]
4000

White [Reusable Parts]
2000

36000/3=12000
I would select both Blue and White crafting materials for conversion
Set the slider to 12000.

Remember to pay attention when using your materials and re-apply the formula or turn the conversion off, otherwise you might end up with 0 of a non-selected crafting material.
Example: Conversion set to 12000, you have used enough materials to where they are all around 6000, then you will eventually end up with 0 yellow and 9000 blue and white.

Oh um in fact I need the profile that can automatically pickup white material in crusader follower kormac's task in A5...

Guys thanks for all the input. I really appreciate the different points of view.

I run a Maelstrom(cold) DH build. Seems to run much faster t10 rifts than the usual fire build I was running. Where as the bot would average 5 to 6 min T10 runs before, it now runs them in 3 to 4 minutes. I just recently changed over before the tripwire, so it can probably be improved. I have noticed when I watched the bot, When I grift, it picks up the mats at the end, but alot of times, on T10 rifts, it won't pick up the misc. mats that the RG drops.

Thanks for all the feedback and advice.

I do agree with this. My suggestion is only really viable if you have the death breaths to spare to do the upgrading materials with.. in my case, when i did this on my non seasonal character before season 5 started, i had over 15k death breaths.. so this was of course the quickest way to get stacks upon stacks of any other crafting material. Leaving it sit over night yielded 20k reusable parts in which could turn into 20k crystals.. since yellows only salvage into 1 crystal, vs whites salvaging into multiple reusable parts.
