how to use SVN trinity and Adventure? please help

I would like update my trinity with SVN. is anyone can give some idea?

Morning there :) i am having some questions about the svn to so i am guessing its ok to ask here to be everything gathered.

So i followed the DB guide about the svn, downloaded the version for my system, i made 2 files named svn1 and svn2 inside the Db file and then what i did after i updated both files was to delete the old adventurer profile/plugin and copy the news from the link.

Is that what we are supposed to do? And what about the trinity xml to copy the settings? I was unable to find it.

I basically did a backup of my bot folder just in case.

Open up the DB/Plugins/ folder

(If you want to see that all of the files have been downloaded and replaced, you can delete everything inside of the Trinity folder, that's what I did the first time to make sure I did it right)

Right click on the Trinity folder.

SVN Checkout...

Paste in the SVN link.

Once done, you should see a download window popup.

The Trinity folder should be filled with the proper files.


Rinse and repeat this on the Adventurer folder, AutoFollow folder, etc... Anything that has an SVN link.
 
i can download from SVN but after that the UPDATE button does not show up. Do you know why?
 
Maybe a stupid question, for what is SVN good.... what is it for ?

the version you can download in the threads (trinity, adventurer,...) is not always the newest, it's most likely a stable version of that plugin
the devs upload their newest code directly to the SVN, so there may be new functions, fixes or bugs in the SVN version

and to easily download them there are tools like tortoiseSVN

hope you get what i mean
