Client goes AFK while botting?

I noticed that the Diablo client goes AFK while the bot is running and shows the "You are no longer away" message when I alt-tab back to the game. That means the game is progressing through content while AFK which seems like a super-obvious way to get detected and banned... I assume if I'm the only one posting this then it must be something I did wrong.

Is there a settings I missed to make this not happen? I'm using the newest stable version with no plugins beyond the bundled ones. Is it a product of not playing with the "Always in foreground" option checked?

Thank you!

I do not share this experience, so maybe you have a setting changed that is causing this. Go into the demonbuddy ---> settings --> bot and then look at the Misc category. Make sure that "Game always in the foreground" is checked. If I am not mistaken this forces your computer to treat diablo3 as if it is the active window being used by your operating system.

Same here. I wanted to open a new threat but then i see this. Have the same problem. Client goes AFK while botting. Its very simple but powerfull to detect botters i think. This comes after the server update. Pls developers check it.

Same here - I noticed the same thing. Would like reassurance this is not a detection concern.
I am also running with "Always in foreground" option unchecked, since I'm often doing other work on the computer while it's running.

it has always been like this. nothing new. i dont know whether this foreground thing solves it. but i dont care whether im flagged as AFK or not. blizz will not bann you because of that.

False. It has not always been like this; I have used DB for many years and this wasn't always the case.

Furthermore, you really have no way of knowing if Blizzard will ban based on this, so your personal opinion is irrelevant. Additionally, I was referring to the ability to flag an account for further scrutiny rather than just banning straight from being AFK. I have since turned the "always in foreground option back on and it occasionally still goes AFK even in the foreground, but never every time.

Not sure if this is related...

I was having issues with my PC where I would walk away for hours, come back and all of my DB and Trinity windows were stacked.

I went through my advanced power options and turn off all of the sleep/hibernate settings to always stay on and maximize performance... Now my windows stay in place and my DB crashes have all but disappeared.
